1370969 WHY has this player not been named by Dublin, the CCCC or much of the media, why the big silence? Is there a legal precedent here for some reason? This seeme to be the first time a player charged with an offence has not been named. This is not doing the GAA or even Dublin any favours whatsoever and smacks of censorship. If there are legitimate legal reasons for not naming the player I could accept that but once again the silence and lack of information creates it's own conspiracies and rumours. Furthermore tha antics of some Dublin GAA people and fans has been shocking. They seem more angry that one of their players has even been accused let alone charged as if the laws and rules don't apply to them; it smacks of downright arrogance and disregard for other teams, fans and the game itself. Shame on them![/u
Get a grip and get off your high horse. If this was the other way round you would be on here crying like a baby about injustice and saying wheres the evidence.

1370779 To those that claim that nobody saw what happened..... I was at the game, I saw the two players on the ground around the 21m line to the town goals and slightly to the stand side with the Dublin player on top of McBrearty....
I do hope the evidence is more clear cut than this. Nothing will happen until the appeal process is over, which is as it should be particularly as the evidencei is so obviously contentious - hence the appeal.

If Liverpool player Suarez comes up with a Dublin granny, there might be a place for him on the Dubs team this year.

Great to see Ulsterman have a clear unhiased view on the incident.
Muckrosshead....see Im not chasing evidence fo you simply befause I dont wanna be a wuss etc! Like McBrearty as you said.
If the lad got bit and theres undeniable evidence....The Dublin player will get punished accordingly....and rightly so.
Ulsterman.....your posts make me laugh.....no really... they do! The Illuminati are coming after you! Why should the player in question be named if theres no evidence he done anything wrong?

Too much talk about Suarez here. There's no evidence. This trial by social media is despicable. Another thing, why haven't Chelsea come out named the player in question? They are really casting a shadow over the Liverpool football club. Shame on Chelsea.

Id say the Dublin County Board wish they handled the situation better and took their punishment. The book is going to be throw and this player now when his appeal is thrown out. The GAA have to act strongly or this will start to become common practice. I bet Liverpool will not stand up for their player who let their club down today the way Dublin county board have done. Not good.

A poster with the gift of foresight that can talk of facts before they occur really does add to the discussion! Do you work for the government?

Im assuming your a wind up merchant , or a johnny come lately , read the threads , read the NON Dublin threads , and you will see that while most fans of all counties deplore the act of biting , spitting , etc they all believe in justice and not public hangings or floggings ,as it should be .

1370773 If there is proper evidence...throw the book at the Dublin player....if theres not.......do nothing!
While the first part of this statement is fine the second is preposterous. Without claiming he did so, if the story is fabricated this fiasco will not end here. Secondly, if there is no evidence that the player committed any wrong doing his name should not have been released to the press and whoever is responsible for that should have a case to answer for!
Sorry Seany, That comment should not have been part of mt post, it was part of JayP's which I pasted & I neglected to delete it.
I have to say that I disagree with "throwing the book" in case of a guilty verdict. It's not as if anyone was shot, three weeks is enough. There is also a big difference between a case being not proven & it being fabricated. The Irish Times as far as I now is the only paper to print his name & any action should be pointed there.

Video evidence can allow you make a decision on Suarez incident, a mark on a players shoulder that no one here has seen a picture off and a player blamed for it with no one on here knowing how or when it happened or no video to make a balanced opinion off is all anybody has to go on, yet we are being slated for not being unequivocal in condeming the player in question. Donegal wanted it investigated ,but wont give the name of player to cccc, yet the dublin board are supposed to give his name out. Nearly every Dublin poster has said they will want player out if it is proven that he did indeed bite(which to my knowledge he is denying). Until more evidence is available Dublin posters cant be expected to be on here every minute saying sorry for a very badly handled scenario that is not finished yet.

Because the process is not over. The CCCC have made a recommendation & the player has requested a hearing. Only then will anyone be in a position to name names.

I'm not stating its a fabrication. What i'm pointing out is that without evidence all eventualities are possible. Anyway i've said what i wanted to say on this thread and this is my last input until the times comes that one is able to state definitively what happened.
