Paddy McBrearty bitten by Dublin player?

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

Master, listen soft lad.....
iw as gone on site by 4pm yesterday so i wasnt on here
unlike you, some of us have things to do outside of HS!!

I said all along that Donegal claim the Dublin doctor agreed with them it was a bite, they put those words in his mouth, Andy Kettle has come out in a statement, as I said, and said it was a bruise, not a laceration and said that no one in the Dublin fold was aware of any bites etc etc

Now can you tell me where I am wrong there. And for a man who is so insistent on proof....your alleging a Donegal player was bitten, can YOU please PROVE that to me then? Soft lad!

This is a no win situation. There is no pictorial evidence of the incident, or witnesses, yet there is evidence of a bite mark, and the records it in letterkenny hospital. The issue now is if he did it to himself, or if a dog bit him on the street before the game. Its a pity that it is going to probably turn into a case of letter of the law rather than spirit of the law, ie that due procedure was or was not carried out properly by the Donegal County board instead of getting the guilty party to own up like a man. This sort of thing is going to turn a lot of people away from the gaa

how is this going to turn people away from the gaa?
these things happen in other sports week in week out and nobody says they wont play them sports due to it.
sure peter stringer was spat at in the face the weekend in european rugby match I dont hear people saying they wont play rugby over that.

The IRFU seem to sort out these things without dragging them out for a start.

All this is a complete circus and several Dublin players have now unjustly had their names dragged through the mud.

That's not fair on them. If a Dublin player was involved in this... then throw the book at him

......I put this to you thegatekeeper

Your highly intellectual and pig iognorant response:

'what goes around comes around!'

Not sure how the British law courts work up there but well there's evidence of your opinion on my post

Once again proving your awkwardness themaster
I had no intention of mentioning such but coming from a known multiple username poster
It's worth noting that for him to use it as a weapon is a little on the silly side.
I had no intention of mentioning it whatsoever... but coming from him? Well.. such a hypocritical stance is always worth noting.
That all I did.
Now do you understand?
Dear oh dear is right... to even imagine that you thought you actually had a point there is funny to me.
You really are awkward.. bumbling around the site, posting things out of context...
Not the first time you've done that to me today... wont be the last
It's kind of what I expect from you at this stage.

So basically, when you trim away all the BS in the above, what becomes apparant is you are calling the guy a hypocrite, yet you are just as guilty of the exact same thing yourself... Maybe that is 'awkward' for yourself, mainly because it exposes you for being exactly what you are getting on your high horse about, but that isnt really my concern.

No themaster...

Once again you fail to see the point. I tried to explain it to you... in a very simple manner

I've already explained myself to you and once again you've jut gone on to further your incorrect and out of context copy and paste effort

Not going to waste anymore time with you

Now not to seem hypocrtical yourself themaster

(We'll just leave your silly and rather clumsy and out of context attempts to have a go at me... I'm over it now)

You've made a claim of Liam avoiding things...

Are you going to get around to answering his question?

He's answered yours..

There is no evidence in your post to support your claims against me jimbo,
the 'what goes around comes around' comment was meant solely for you, I
have made no comment on the incident in question!
People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones may have been a more suitable
comment, but both fit accordingly!

i dont think the accused would have it in him to do that but it if turns out he did he should get a heavy suspension

1366260 Its changing by the whispers of these threads. The story hasnt changed in terms of the official one anyway
1366260
The story is like all good ones open to a multitude of interpretations and whether it is fact or fiction is irrelevant as long as its a good story and this one is frankly brilliant.

Why exactly would McBrearty make this up?

i dont think Paddy made it up atall
but i think someone took an incident make a "meal" of it added stuff to it, went to the media with it and now wishes they had said nothing!

Possibly the case. I just remembered the midges were out on sunday along the river finn, one of them may have bitten him in the first half, although the river was at the opposite end to the town end where he was lined out.

Liam,

Most of the hot air I have seen expended on this issue has been on here. The rest of the country seems to have moved on.

As for people going to the media, Paddy is a clubman of mine & anyone in the area with a phone has been contacted in the last couple of days looking for the lad's number. I don't think they were enquiring after his health

Think your right, to be fair nobody on Donegal page is still going on about it either , Res Dubs seen it getting full of hearsay and locked thread days ago.
Like kerry v tyrone thread set up a while back to wind lads up,when it becomes obvious that a thread is going nowhere and just creating a platform for the same usual suspects to vent their anger against certain counties it should be locked.

Agreed, it seems to be the luck of the draw with who you get as a mod. Last Sunday I wondered why RO'C wasn't playing & got blocked, not once but twice. Then you see some of the stuff that gets through, it would take the paint off walls.

Where are these men who cried foul at Donegal's dealing with the 'alleged' biting incident. Where are ye all fantastical creatures who's good counties name was tarnished by a wagged finger from the Donegal County Board and definitely not by a foolish altercation during a league match.

Said Jesus to Thomas: "Put your finger here, and see my hands; and put out your hand, and place it in my side. Do not disbelieve, but believe." So had Paddy McBrearty to the most righteous Pauric Duffy and oh how he was ridiculed. A prophet is never appreciated in his own time. What do the good people of Dublin think now? Do they put their "King" to the cross or cry for Barabbas?
