Stevie O'Neill is a man reborn, he has a knack of scoring points from the most impossible of positions. He is absolutely vital to Tyrones hopes for this season and the next..

There is hardly anyone that crazy to ever back Kildare to win anything other a Kildare person! Does anyone else think they could slip up against Offaly in the first round? If Offaly win the division 4 final they will be full of confidence going into the Kildare game. Obviously Kildare will be hot favourites. If Kildare win another game at U21 level McGeeney will be safe for another year though I can't see him getting the sack from Kildare.

Enjoyable game, not near championship pace but enjoyable all the same.

Last two points from Stephen O'Neill were pure class.

I don't see how a county who hasn't won a provincial title in a while can be turning their noses up at a league. Kildare will be a threat in the championship but lots of questions over them.

No matter what promise Kildare show....never put a single euro on them to win anything, cos you will lose it!
Same old Kildare story!

Funny Snuf when Kildare won the Leinster Under 21 title there was one sign of you just like when they were going well in the league you were no where to be seen

Nice to get into a league final again,
Tyrone did just enough to win.
Mark Donnelly would have been my motm.

Any critisim of Kildare lacking talent is very harsh and shows a lack of knowledge about the game. Cribben, Hurley, Kelly and Brophy are all real genuine footballers. 8 of that team were not there this time last year. McGeeney is being brave by showing faith in the young lads and its paying off. Nobody can expect a brand new team to win things in its first year. Their effort and courage is admiral. Just because we don't have anybody like O'Neill or Brogan means people slag us with the same uneducated broad statements.

Agreed, I wouldnt like to face Kildare in a championship format. Their young players are brillaint, very good on the ball, strong in the tackle and just lack that wee bit of experience that comes with time. Cribben impressed me and P.Oneill in midfield though think he's been around for a while. Kildare are a dangerous team, because they can play in long spells were they are unstoppable. They will go far this year...

Yes they have great fitness but their ball handling skills were very evident today.

While paddy is just winding up, there is a strong possibility to the fact that both kildare (leinster semi) and Tyrone (first game) will be in qualifiers at a early stage so it would be hard very hard to see both in all ire semis (not impossible) but highly unlikely

Mcgeeney might as well pack it in wasting his time with Kildare
they are going to win nothing too many players of the same ability
if you put themselves and Mayo together they woild win nothing

Honestly i think Kildare are still a long way off winning an All Ireland. I could see them beating Dublin and winning a Leinster title but they will not beat any more than 2 quality teams in a championship as they do not have the forwards. Also can some of the Kildare lads tell me why Emmett Bolton never marks anyone if anyone has taken the time to look at him for even 10 minutes of a game they will cop to the fact that he does not mark and rarely tackles or blocks anyone he just runs up and down the pitch.

Tyrone deserved winners. Donnelly was brilliant and some of O'Neill's points were the best I have ever seen. Kildare just not clinical enough when they got on top and making so many changes in the forwards towards the end seemed to take any momentum, consistency and understanding out of our forward play when we were chasing the game. Still a few positives. Midfield was a lot better and the young players once again showed well. I see some counties who didn't qualify or who are in lower divisions slagging us off for losing. All I can say it's better to get there and lose than to be miles off it. No-one is saying Kildare will win an All-Ireland but so far this year has been satisfactory for me. Tyrone and Dublin have playing at a level well above everyone so far this year and continued that today. Should a be a great final.

On a side not I see some Tyrone posters giving out about the ref but the Tyrone number seven clearly struck a Kildare player beside the linesman and was unbelievably only shown a yellow. Explain that! Also the poster going on about Sean Cavanagh not getting frees? He was constantly diving and attempting to drag his markers down. You know it's real wind-up stuff when he got a free and started applauding the referee. Not nice to watch a player with such talent resort to all that rubbish.

Kildare missed a lot of chances in the first half. They made plenty of chances but didn't seem to be able to put them away. Still it was a more entertaining game than the Dublin/Mayo game. Stephen O Neill kicked two super points.

Well done to Tyrone and Dublin in reaching the final. I felt that there was never a doubt with Dublin and Tyrone kind of insisted on winning. SON's kicking is getting more outrageous with age. Happy to have been able to watch both games on the box.

Enjoyed the game. Thought we were well in it right up to the end and was happy to see our lads battling back after each Tyrone goal. As doublehop posted, there were still a lot of positives for us out of that game. Midfield very much improved and the fluidity going forward, especially in the first half is close to what we need for coming championship. Thought the u 21's looked a bit tired yesterday, in fairness these young guys have had Aa lot of training and additional games in last few weeks. Bolton didn't look at all fit yesterday.

Matthew, McGeeney will be staying regardless of how the u 21's do. We love him still here in Kildare.

It didn't take long for the noisy neighbour and his usual sidekicks to appear.

Well done Tyrone and esp Stephen O'Neill. I can't remember ever applauding an oppositions point when they were playing Kildare to to yesterday. Simply sublime.
