was at a club game yesterday in the club brigids playing raheny in Junior D football. Score at h/t was raheny 3-08 to 0-02. 10 minutes into the second half the score was 3-10 to 0-04. Brigids went on to win the game 4-11 to 3-13 in the end some 20 minutes of drama and some fantastic scores kicked by both teams for a junior d game.

Didn't Limerick come from 10 points or so down against Tipp in the 1996 Munster final? I think all of their scores were points too. There was a guy called Owen (I think) O'Neill in the corner who I never rated and thought never used score and he got one that day so it stood out in my mind. Think he went onto get a couple of goals in the replay, which showed me what I knew.

Meath coming from 6 points down with 10 mins to go in the 4th game v Dublin to win by a point in 1991 has to top the lot for sheer drama. The likes of it will never be seen again.

Juvenile football against arch rivals Ballyboden St. Endas in front of the usual big crowd for a Lucan V 'Boden game at any grade. Anyway, we were beating them handsomely when they came back to lead the game thanks to Ol Snuffy giving away 3 penalties....count 'em....3 penalties in the space of 10 minutes!!
Manager took me off right away after the third one and the lads had to battle hard to win by 2 points with 15 mins left on the clock!!
The lads have never let me live it down. I became a more disciplined player with age but have never had time for any fairy stuff!
I suppose when yer childhood idols are Ciarain Duff and Sylvie Linnane, I could always see a bit of Ol Snuffy in them lads!

I was at both these great comebacks. 1993 USFC QF Replay Armagh v Fermanagh. Armagh 9 points down in the second half came back to win by a point. 2003 USFC final Tyrone v Down. Tyrone trailed Down by 9 points in the second half and came back to draw.

Byanthon the 03 comeback was against 14 men and Tyrone won some very soft frees including a penalty.
