Haha just keeping you on your toes Muck. I've booked a hotel in Ballybofey called The Jacksons any use?

Jackson's is perfect, less than 200 yards from the pitch. I know the owners well, Barry & Margaret will look after you well!!
I might get up & meet you for a pint on Sat night to put you right on a couple of things!!

Pierce Hanley would be one of the first names on the team sheet id imagine.

clondalkindub,

Jacksons is not a bad wee hotel but in truth you should have stayed in Letterkenny. There's way more to do at night and its only 20 mins from Ballybofey.

The obvious canditates for me are: Mic. Murphy, Bren. Murphy, Bolton, N. McGee, Both Reillys (Meath), Hanley, T. Walsh, Cadogan, Glynn, Cluxton, Flynn, A. Walsh, A. O'Shea, Begley, Both McMahons, Tuohy, Heslin, Kilkenny, P. Kelly, Shields, M. Clarke, S. Cavanagh, Cafferkey, McFadden, Connolly, B. Brogan, Kerrigan, Lacey, A. Moran, MacAuley, D. O'Sull (both), O' Carroll, Paddy Kelly, Keegan, C. O'Neil, J. Galvin, M. Meehan, Shine, Kilbride, McNamee, Keenan, Barden, Quinn.

I'd probably carve a panel out of this set of players, although I might have missed out on a few obvious ones.

People need to stop going on about Heslin. The lad is only 20/21 at the end of the day. Talk about putting too much pressure on someone's shoulders!

Agreed Matthew, Actually I think Paul Sharry would be well suited to the fast running style of this hybrid game.

Any chance Paul Conroy of Galway would be included? Big, strong player who can take a score from out the field and has been Galway's most consistent forward this year and also did very well for Connacht.

No RO'C?. That's you struck off Clondalkin's Xmas card list!!

I'd agree with tommy k, Conroy is the ideal type of player for this game. Any time I've seen him he's been excellent. Aidan O'Shea would be good as well

I don't think anyone outside of Westmeath has heard of Sharry! But equally important to Westmeath as Heslin is. He actually also has some experience of AFL. Played there one summer along with Heslin.

Of course Caislean has The Roc in his squad he knows his stuff, ah jaysus I only inquired about the hotel Muck I don't want to be your best friend now for jaysus sake. You'll only end up burning the ear off me about All things Donegal and how everything they do is right and I won't be able to get a word in edge ways

The game is not the physical farce it has been and hopefully this year is more a show of skill than power. Big men who can field a ball still required and my selection reflects that.

Lads, surely Daniel Flynn looks like he could do a good job. Very physical footballer, has been arguably Kildares most impressive player so far this year.

I predict a bright future for the young man.

Considering both Reillys from Meath have had a lot of injuries over the last few years, I hope neither of them gets selected. Aside from those two, we wouldn't have anyone with a shout of getting on the panel.

I spent one drunken weekend in Ballybofey many moons ago (I'm a regular visitor to the town) at my brothers wedding. What a weekend!! Good oul spot in fairness.
