That wasn't the question I asked you... What your proposing is that they will still have to play as many games to win an AI in an open draw, I'm sure they'd rather win a Munster on the way is what I meant. Obviously they'd rather go straight from Tipp to AI semi.

If you were to put Ulster and Galway into Leinster then wouldn't the Munster champions have a massive advantage going into an AI final because since the turn of the century all the winners and runners up (De la Salle and NewtownShandrum excluded) has been Galway, Leinster (mainly KK and Offaly) and Ulster. That would be a savage Leinster championship especially after coming out the 3 most successful counties in AI series.

Let's just say Gort for example played Portumna, Clarenbridge and St. Thomas on way to winning Galway then play Oulart, Ballyhale and O'Laughlin Gaels to win Leinster then play a final against the Munster champions...Let's just say I wouldn't be backing Gort to win an AI. And the same goes to the KK, Offaly, etc. teams.

JUST TO CLARIFY:

KK won Offaly Junior football and had to fit in Leinster Club Football around Leinster Club hurling with many of the same players. Of course they then had plenty time to recover before the All Irl Semi & Final.

To ONLYHURLING: I hear what u say but would not totally agree. Thomas deservedly won the game and I would not try to take from their win. I had driven through Peterswell & Kilcreest (on my way back from a game in West Clare) the day they were replaying their Semi & the display of flags & bunting was brilliant.

Of course I did not agree with the Ref but u just have to take the hit and remember the odd day the calls went your way !!!!

Yeah and that's what Galway does every year. Level playing field is all I'm asking

Your asking for a level playing field richiescats? They still have to beat the best in the country when it comes to the AI semi's & final.
But i think Kilcormac/Killoughey were hard done by the two reds. But to be fair St. Thomas were on top even before that. Congrats to the team and managment !

Dont forget richiescats,Kilkenny have a pretty easy passage to the all Ireland semi every year themselves (well they did until Galway came on to the scene).

There's no easy path in Leinster , just ask Dublin,Offaly and Wexford . Who do the Galway champs beat in Connacht ?, o they don't have to play anyone. The Kilkenny path through Leinster recently looked easy because your talking about the best county hurling team ever.
