Kildare still 3/1 with the Bookies....looks big to me. Cork are the favourites at 11/4. Cavan and Longford could be good outsiders at 11/1

I was expecting Tyrone to canter into the Ulster final this year. If you look at their u21 team individually there are some very classy footballers throughout, so I would say there is no man more worried about the situation than Mickey Harte. As mentioned above u21 success is extremely important to the future of your counties success, success breeds success. I would always pay close attention to Down's u21 teams as it is a great way to see who the up and coming county stars will be. u21 football in Ulster would also suggest that Cavan will be the up and coming force in the next 3-4 years and that would be fantastic to see, they have been also-rans for far too long. Down also have a very good u21 team this year and outclassed Armagh last night, even if the scoreline suggests likewise. Down were in the lead by a comfortable margin throughout the whole 60 minutes and controlled the majority of play. It will be an interesting semi-final between Down and Cavan- the winner most likely being the favourite to go on and win Ulster.

Kildare are going to cruise through the Leinster Final and quite possibly the AI. Longford had their upset result against the Dubs so Kildare will know what to expect. I think they'll win Leinster by at least 12 points.

Tongue in cheek comment keeper, TONGUE IN CHEEK!!! Just put that up considering one or two posters on the Kildare page thinks the only reason Longford beat them at minor a few years ago was because Kildare had to play Dublin a few times!! So I'm expecting great things from this mighty Kildare team!! Remember we only beat them at minor by one or two points when they had to play Dublin Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday before playing us on the Saturday!!

I don't think anyone means any disrespect to Longford by them comments. Kildare played Dublin four times in the minor champoionship in 2010. Beat them and after they came back through the losers round-robin were drawn against them again when they drew twice after extra time. When they did win the third game there was such a buzz from getting by them again that even at the time there was a feeling that they weren't going to be tuned in to play another game a few days later.

Maybe it had nothing to do with it. But even the scoreline was a bit feaky, 3-05 to 0-13. So yes there's a sense there that maybe they left the game behind them. But no-one in Kildare is taking Longford for granted, not the players after that result threee years ago and not the supporters after ye taking out the Dubs.

Should be a great final.

Sure how could we be disrespecting Longford when most of us would have them as favourites for the final?

They'll have the benefit of two tough matches and battles against the Dubs and Wexford behind them, we won't have learnt much about ourselves from the wins over Meath and Laois, especially the latter considering the oppositions no show in the second half.

Longford have the experience and mentality to win Leinster again this year, something Kildare will be lacking, although this time you won't have home advantage at least.

It should be a good game, hopefully we won't be missing Cribbin and Hurley (arguably our two best performers on Wednesday night) like we were three years ago.

Nobody will be taking Longford for granted in Kildare, not least the players themselves, and as fans we're not in a position to think that way about anybody.

We can't help the rubbish wums and those from outside the county (not mutually exclusive by the way) want to say about the Longford team and our chances of an All Ireland though.

I agree with if-in-doubt's comments, anyone that knows anything about football in Kildare will not be taking Longford for granted. We have too long a history of coming out the wrong end of finals to do that. Obviously we'll be hoping to beat Longford but that's a long way from believing that we will. So here's looking forward to a good game and may the best team win (hopefully that will be Kildare!!).

We were going great in the 1st half then lost our way in the 2nd half. Credit to Leitrim they fought really hard in the 2nd half. One of our best forwards Colin Compton retired early through injury and it now a big doubt for the Connacht final.

i think the Rossies will win the u21 All Ireland i think they have a fine team thought they would hammer Leitrim but i think them beating them by a more narrow margin will keep these lads grounded and if they can get a win against Galway and into a semi final it can be alot about luck.
