It's funny on here when a team loses a game there no good. I see it every week on here with the league games , one week a team is the best on here when they win the following week they lose and there no good. Kildare have the better team they just had a mare in front of the posts, when you keep missing shot after shot after shot the other team are eventually going to cause trouble cause the Kildare lads confidence was going. It happened to us in 10 against Tyrone they couldn't score in front of the posts and eventually there nerve went cause of all the misses.

Dublin would of beaten any of the 4 yesterday ha your funny. Dublin weren't good enough to even get to play any of the teams.

From a neutral viewpoint Galway deserved to win as they had better footballers with Walshe the stand out performer. Donnellan poor with kick outs as well, if he cant kick them out with the accuaracy of Durkan or Cluxton he should just hit them long. He was lucky to get away with it in Croke park as well.

Yes sorry about that walkinglunchbox and Gammy, I was wumming as I thought clondalkindub was wumming too. Apparently now he was actually being serious in his comments about Dublin, which is kind of sad, but hey, each on to their own. Trust me, Longford and KIldare are two fine teams and I agree with your point walkinglunchbox, that KIldare u21 Leinster title will bring on them players a lot.

A bad day at the office for Kildare but if the truth be known man for man we're a lot better than Galway. Just one of those days.

Apparently not.

As I said I had a bet on Galway as the odds were crazy considering it was a Galway team that still had a few players left from the team that won the U-21 All-Ireland in 2011 and the rest of the team came from two fine minor sides that very narrowly lost two All-Ireland minor semi-finals.

I totally agree Longford deserved to win that night, but that doesn't mean Dublin weren't the best team in the comp. lads if Kildare played Galway again there would be only one winner and that would be Kildare . 21 wides, 3 one on one misses , shots off the post and shots short . I know it's all on the day but Kildare are the better team they just had a nightmare in front of the posts.

Roscommon and Mayo also had nightmare in front of the post against Galway but IMO if Mayo,Roscommon had played yesterdays semi final they would have beaten that Kildare side.

Dublin weren't the best and deep down even you know it.

Afraid not buddy. That Kidare team accounted for Dublin not once but twice in Leinster at minor level. As for Galway well done and the very best in the final against Cork. A bad day at the office for Kildare but if the truth be known man for man we're a lot better than Galway. Just one of those days

You see, this is the sort of sh**e that irks people. Kildare fans, even when they are comprehensively beaten out the gate by a far superior outift, they persist in the hype about their own team.

Dublin didn't even make the Leinster semi final. The team that beat Dublin(longford) didn't even win Leinster and the team that beat longford(Kildare) didn't even make the all Ireland final. Yet, Dublin are apparently are one of the best team's in the country. Based on the above facts, it's easy to see that Dublin aren't even worth mentioning when talking about who the best u-21 team in the country are. Mayo lost narrowly to Galway, yet, I wouldn't dream of mentioning Mayo as being one of the best U-21 teams. Cork, Galway and Cavan only teams who deserve being talked about. Kildare were shocking yesterday. If you can't score, it's irrelevant how good the rest of your play is.

Kildare should have won by 10 points, that's how it appeared on Tv anyway,Galways full forward line were the only line superior to their opponents and they were that good they did the damage

Roscommon lost to Galway in Connacht and all you are hearing now is, " aww we threw away the all-ireland" what a load of bs. Kildare coming on this and claiming Galway were inferior to them and it wasn't their day, bad day at the office.....blah blah, blah. Typical losing mentality. Same as Ros. Galway had what was needed and they are in the final. Best of luck to them. I never came off a loss playing thinking the other team were somewhat inferior even though they had won.

A very strange match. I don't think I've ever seen a team dominate so much and still lose. 21 wides, countless ball dropping short... of course they've themselves to blame for that. Calling them gym monkeys is a bit silly, and that it was some sort of victory for natural footballers. For most on hear that was probably the first time they've seen them playing, with the exception of the lads playing with seniors. There is serious natural talent amongst them. I know there's a problem of getting carried away with the hype in Kildare at all grades, but I'd stress that Galway shouldn't get too carried away because Cork will beat them out the gate.

Dublin and Kildare clearly the two strongest in the country. Just because they got knocked out because they had an off day doesn't mean they are useless gym monkeys. In all sports the stronger teams can get bet, that's what makes sport special.

Jaysus lads lose with a bit of grace at least. Some serious sour grapes on view.

Even if they were to get carried away i seriously doubt Cork would beat Galway out the gate. Galway have got the rub of green in their last three games but they have still beaten three top sides to reach this All Ireland final and that shouldn't go unnoticed. I have seen Cork against Tipp,Kerry and v Cavan yesterday they haven't overly impressed me and unless they improve in the final i think our neighbours will win another All Ireland.

derfil1 if the "truth be known" I wouldn't trade too many of the Galway players for the Kildare players on "man for man" basis. Kildare were big and strong alright and won a fair amount of possession around midfield but that is where it ended as they weren't particularly skillful or natural footballers like many of the Galway lads were especially in the forwards.

I love this natural footballers and gym monkeys rubbish. Like I said we'd a bad day. 9 times out of 10 that Kildare team would beat that Galway team.

Maybe so but on the day that counted you couldn't beat them. Talk of "another day" is silly because there will never be another day in this competition for Kildare. They hadn't the bottle or the ability to do it on the only day that counted.

Did it happen Kerry in the All-Ireland Final of 2011 ? Did Kerry play most of the football that day and ultimately take their eye off the ball and allow a Dublin side who got a few favours from the ref back in to the game ?

Cilldara13 the difference between us and you is we don't get carried away. You might also recall that these two teams (Galway and Cork) met in the minor semi in 2010 and it was a classic 5-10 to 2-18. Writing us off just the ticket. Dure you should remember as your seniors were in action afterwards against Down in the senior semi final. Also what have Dublin u21s got to do with this forum in recent posts. Insulting to Longford and sour grapes full stop.
