Bryan Menton where has the Meath accent gone? Is the Dublin accent taking over Meath aswell now? Great stuff from DIT there midfielder was outstanding mcgibney I think his name is, O Conor and O Sullivan very good aswell. Aidan O Shea is a beast and great player but I don't think he's the best midfielder in Ireland

Jesus if menton keeps this up he could keep Kevin oreilly out of full back osition, lot off meath think he needs to be in middle or no six, but his rformance would make you think

This is the problem Royaldunne we have 2 very good full backs, and a few good corner backs Dalton, Curran, Keogan, no midfield and don't know our best 6 forwards. Givney will be a handful next week whoever is on him, seems to have played well in the Sigerson and is good for a score as well.

A O Shea is an animal of a player, best midfielder in the country at the minute.

O'Shea didn't play much of yesterday game in midfield the best midfielder on show was the Cavan Lad. Only the last year or so have Mayo used O'Shea in midfield even now some supporters are talking about playing him as forward this year?

yep would fully agree with most of what you said there classapart, what do you think of the idea of menton in midfield?

O Shea played a more defensive role yesterday in the first half and set dit on there way. Played a similar role for Mayo against Dublin in the al semi final last year. His position in the Mayo squad is midfield and thats where he will be played. He was tried in the forwards before, midfield is his natural position..

Great win for DIT, really impressive performances over both days, especially from Givney and O'Shea in midfield. Really bossed the final on Saturday. Defence was really strong too, Menton as we said after the semi final was a standout player, but the likes of Colin Walsh and the Devereaux lad from Dublin also put in quality performances, good going to only concede 4 scores from play in 2 hours of football.

DIT have a good panel with a lot of experience on it and won the league back before Christmas, they've also produced some good freshers teams over the last few years so it was surprising they didn't get much of a mention beforehand, a lot of talk seemed to be about the winners of the DCU - UCD quarter final going on to winning it, with DCU very heavy favourites before Friday.

Good two days of football anyways, was nice to see AIT make the semis as the host college.
