Best team won, well done Maghera, probably were more than 10 points the better team. Very disappointed in Navan, relied on a few frees to keep them in it at half-time, tactically colm o'rourke was all at sea.

Just shows how strong Ulster Colleges football is when it took a replay to overcome St. Colmans and only had a point over St Paul's,
well done Maghera

Hard luck Navan, thats 3 finals in Croke Park some of those young lads have lost in the last year, hopefully some of them will get back there again in the summer.

Well done st pats Maghera on your victory and commiserations to navan but the better team won, agree with chuchuallain ulster colleges very strong at the minute and the minor club competition does no harm. Last time I saw ulster colleges with the same quality in the late 80's resulted in a 4 in a row all Ireland up north . Time will tell.

Ye ulster colleges is really strong alright. But what happened last year when the ulster team was hammered in the final? Some serious points kicked by maghera.

Now now none of this oul North/South thing! Ulster Colleges football has been strong but not as many are now going on to be full county players as say 10/15/20 years ago.

You've made an interesting assertion there, Ulsterman, that fewer college players are now making the breakthrough to inter-county football. Do you have facts to back that up? And, if it's true, I'd be interested in hearing opinions as to why that might be the case.

Think it's madness playing these games in an empty stadium. Either put the Hogan Cup final before a big game in Croker or else put it in a smaller ground. The atmosphere at the ulster schools final was brilliant. Yesterday there wasn't one

I would agree with football first, I think there are more college players coming through than say 20 years ago when there would have been a bigger drop off rate (not just from football but from college altogether). I think between down Derry and Armagh there will a fair few of those lads competing at senior level. In my opinion !
