Congrats to Pobalscoil Chorca Dhuibhne on retaining the Corn Ui Mhuiri Saturday, beating St. Brendans Killarney 1-15 to 1-08. Last years' experience might stand to them and the win brings a bit of light to the area following a few hard weeks for the locals there.

Connacht Final:
St Geralds Castlebar 0-9 St Jarlaths Tuam 1-4

Very poor match played with a very strong wind. Very soft penalty awarded to Jarlaths in 1st half who then had a player sent off on a very harsh second yellow in the 2nd. Overall, Geralds deserved the win but it would shock me if they went any further.

Pats are some outfit, congrats to all involved, just goes to show Meath has fantastic natural talent, but cause our failures to develop a proper athletic approach over the last number of Years as they progress to older teams they get beat by players who's ability might fall short but have had the proper fitness regimes, under new structures within county this will change in coming years,but for now we have to suffer years of neglect.
Anyway thats my rant for today, well done to all concerned at pats

Yeh good post Royaldunne, underage has been neglected in terms of developing talent. The Meath minors on the Pats team will be a big addition when they return and in fairness Andy Mc is doing a good job with the minors and is bringing a more professional approach but there is a lot of work to be done. O'Rourke said it was the toughest Leinster campaign he has been involved in with Pats so that will stand to all involved.
