Sure there was no Crokes man in 92 with Kerry apart from Connie, and ok Noel O'Leary was on the bench. I still reckon it's someone with Thomond or UCC

yes and actually won an all-ireland final in his native city. a feat almost certainly never to be repeated. i.e. which former all-ireland winning captain was not born in Ireland but won an all-ireland final in his native city. (by the way he wasn't captain in New York.. john Joe O' Reilly was... so the question would have to be worded very carefully.)
