Watched a re-run of the Tipp Final. Great game.

Have to say that some players were not getting a free from that ref even if they were planted and he would not give a free against certain players ( P Maher got away with pulling & dragging & no free but he did play brilliantly).

I still dont think Sars will win Munster.

Cratloe V newmarket in Clare next sunday, Cratloe favourites.
Either won't be a pushover in Munster. I do think Kilmallock will beat Thurles though.
Loughiel will have a big say later on.

Having seen the Dublin final I have to say it won't be Kilmacud anyway.

They're a better side than they should in the Final I think although even at their best they wouldn't win the Leinster title.

A repeat performance of what they showed against Cuala against the Wexford Champs will see them blown out the gate though.

Loughiel have taken great confidence from last year and have nothing left to prove as they have their All Ireland; they will be as hard to beat as anyone.

Some interesting matches in Leinster this Sunday:

Kilmacud V Oulart
Clonkill V Rathdowney-Erill
Mt Leinster Rangers V Kilcormac-Kiloughey

I'd say Oulart & Kilcormac will come through. Hard to call the other game!

So its loughgiel shamrocks v St Thomas in the semifinal in Feb.what does everyone think, two very similiar teams in the way they play the game...

St Thomas are relatively new side. I would expect Loughiel to win. I wouldn't put any money on it. I would expect De La Salle to win Munster. Hopefully, Oulart will win Leinster this year. They have been knocking on the door a while now. Hopefully they can get over the line. I would fancy them for the All-Ireland if they can take Ballyhale.

So St. Thomas have to beat Loughiel to get to a final, whereas Oulart have to beat Kilmacud, Ballyhale and Kilcormac Killoughey and Thurles Sarsfields to get to the same stage.
What a joke of a situation we have.

The situation is certainly skewed in favour of the Galway club champions (not their fault of course) in terms of their paths to the final. Obviously the Galway club championship is one of the most competitive around given the number of different winners that they produce and they may win as many anyway. Still it is a huge advantage they have. Nothing will be done, however.

Bennybunny,
It is a farce. But as you say, nothing will be done to change it.

fancy loughgiel to get the better of St Thomas's,they won't get no where near the same room they got against Loughrea also think whoever comes out of Leinster will also make the final,Thurles didn't impress me against 14 men and the waterford men were denied a stonewall penalty...

goodman turfcutter Im sure its not this Paddys day you are talking about. By the way this is not soccer penalties are not given out for diving or "throwing yourself down on the ground when you know youl be blown for overcarrying" so I dont know what penalty you are referring to and I was very impressed with Thurles shure thay squandered a hatful of scores in the last ten minutes
