Well lockjaw, the reality is I am trying to check the facts right this minute. So many jumped in to call it ridiculous, but none have taken on the rather simple task of proving it by naming the hotels. Does this not seem rather strange to you?

The owness is not on us to name the hotel that Donegal team are staying in, but on you to quote your source and to say why you believe that this so called rumor is true.

They might not even have picked the hotel yet.

u just keep complaining and then pretending you were winding people up when you realise how foolish you look.

Jaysus someones got his panties in a twist. I honestly will stop now... I was only trying to annoy you.

No need to get all hot and heavy about it and taking it to heart... you're in a final... who gives a toss what I say!

Haha.. serously man... I thought I made it evident enough...

Seriously man... congrats to you for getting to the final.

I hope Donegal win. I wouldnt want to see such levels of codology awarded and I think Donegal have have been the standout performers in the country...

I hope they beat you.

Themaster just to note...

Former players/refs are all pretty much saying what I'm saying.... several posters on this site too... many not from Dublin.

Are they all letting down their county?

At the end of the day...in my book Mayo deserved their victory.... but I just cant warm to a team that has to go that low for it.

Even before a ball was kicked...

Thats right jimbo, you care so little that you posted 2 messages about it, back to back.

The 'owness', or even the onus for that matter, is not on me at all. This isnt a court of law. The story has come out about the donegal team, one which is easily disproven. But nobody is doing it. Why? Are you not able to? If so then why so up in arms? In all honesty it is a simplt thing to disprove, if you are able to. If you refuse to, or are unable to then obviously the story will continue.

Other than your cast iron source post TheMaster, where else is the hotel story mentioned? Please provide link.

No links irishtom, pure word of mouth. A load of nonsense im sure - so it should be very easy to disprove for you...

No sign of that happening in this lifetime

Disprove what? We have to disprove rumours now?

This isn't science...a rumour isn't true unless proven false!

I have one....James Horan instructed his players at half time to foul Dublin if they thought there was even a sniff of a goal chance. "A load of nonsense im sure - so it should be very easy to disprove for you..."

What a memory tis brings back for us Biffos

The last time there was a row about where to have the homecoming , it was Tralee & Killarney fighting over who would welcome back the winners of the historic 5 in a row.

It was 1982 & Seamus Darby solved the arguement for themand a lot of others.

What Mayo sub can emulate him and solve the problems of Letterkenny & Donegal Town ????

Yep pure speculation then so. In any event I know that Mayo stayed in the Regency before the quarter final ( I was there that weekend and quite a few of the team were kicking a ball around outside the front entrance while waiting for the Bus to head to Croke Park!!). I would suspect they'd want to keep to the same routine/hotel etc for the semi final and final. Unlikely to have ever been available to Donegal so!!

Not a chance of the hype getting to Donegal in my opinion, they will be well protected from it. The hype is more likely to get to Mayo.

Well irishtom, if you can manage to know where mayo stayed for the quarter final, then im sure you can tell me where donegal stayed for their quarter and semi?
Also, how could the regency hold a place for mayo over anyone else? They hadnt even played their game at that stage.

Seriously have never read such a pathetic excuse of a forum on the Hoganstand before.. Mayo are you seriously reading into a story about Donegal players putting up a fuss about were there staying for an All Ireland final?? It must be the wee September supporters signing in now tryin to kick up a fuss..

TheMaster I know where Mayo were cause I happened to be there too that weekend. No other reason. I don't have any idea where Donegal stayed for quarter final or semi final as I've never been fortunate enough to stay in the same hotel. And I'm just saying that most teams/ and management like to keep to the same routine/stay in the same place. So if Mayo have been in the regency todate its likely they would want to stay there again.

You dont need to stay there yourself to know where the team stay. It is usually common knowledge. The most interesting theing here is that the donegal lads refuse to say it. Something to hide maybe?
What if donegal had stayed in the regency up to this point also? Why would mayo get to request it ahead of donegal? Particularly when donegal were the first team in the final?

TheMaster It appears that donegal are staying in the Burj Al Arab Dubai. They are all going to Apparate into the changing rooms from Dubai after The GAA finally got their licence from the ministry of magic.

Donegal Homecoming

Its sad to see them fighting over the homecoming in Donegal i think they think the Mayo game is a foregone conclusion. This will give Mayo a real boost my opinion if they want to see a good homecoming they all should go to Castlebar on the Monday night

Irishtom, your refusal to engage speaks volumes. You were asked a simple question, can you answer it or not? If everything is as you say it is then answering it would dispell my argument completely. However a refusal to do so tells its own story.
For the uninitiated, unlike irishtom, who clearly knows exactly what I am talking about, donegal stay in the regency or the skylon. They had re-booked, when the players decided they wanted the burlington. Sounds like somebody is plannig their afterparty...
