Look this is a joke thread. I mean leitrim should have one too. Let's be honest they have as much chance of winning it.
Kildares only hope of success this year was leinster and I wonder who put a end to that?

Royaldunne you posted this already under your bobjaffa name.

Kildare were never any good to begin with. They were anonymous before Geezer came in then they got major media attention which went to the supporters heads. Tradition is what is central to the gaa and Kildare are lacking in it. They may have beaten us 6 out of the last 7 encounters but what have they to show for it? nothing in terms of championship silverware. Kildare will lose to Sligo in round 4 and make another tame exit next year and the bandwagon will finally be put to bed and normal lilywhite service will resume. We are looking forward to the leinster final and can actually afford to say that we have at least a half chance of going on to win sam. Kildare on the other hand are no hopers.

I needed cheering up this morning and the title of this thread did just that. Fair play.

In response to that Meath man who said that after 1 win over Cavan we think we will win the All Ireland......
What about you Meath fans? 1 win over Kildare in 5 games and now you think you are world beaters? Meath will lose to Dublin, then lose to Laois in the Qualifiers.

Why can't we win the All Ireland? Going into the Qualifiers was probably a good thing for us, because now we will be playing every weekend up untill the All Ireland Quarter final, that's 4 weeks in a row with playing Championship games. You then build up momentum after this, just like we did in 2010 when we reached the Semi Final. I have a lot of faith in this Kildare squad, we are good enough to win the AI, all we need is a small bit of luck that we never seem to get along the way.

And for all you lads saying Kildare don't have any natural forwards......Please explain to me why Eoghan O'Flaherty scored 0-8 at the weekend, Alan Smith scored 1-5, Mikey Conway scored 1-4.........That's not even mentioning Doyle and Johnston.

Time to forget about this Myth that we have no forwards.

You wouldnt be making jibes about sneaky goals and bad ref calls ballybun if monaghan had won Down a couple of weeks ago so watch out! The lillies are back on track!

Believe me no Meath fan thinks this, sorry to disappoint you. We all know the inconsistency of this team. When we have won some silverware then we can talk.

This thread is laughable.....There is more chance of seeing C McDonald, Conor Mortimer and James Horan in the full forward line in the Q/F.

ClassApart you should talk to your fellow countyman, Royaldunne, so and tell him to stop his silly rantings.

ah lads this forum is absolutely ridiculous, the reality is that we just don't have the players to win and all ireland,on sunday we looked troubled at times when cavan ran at us through the middle just as meath had in the leinster semi. our forwards aren't good enough, kavanagh really has gone backwards the past year,o'flaherty is a good player but not of the quality that dublin, kerry and cork have in their teams, smyth is too inconsistent and i really haven't seen him punish a top quality side, johnny isnt getting any younger and mikey is a better half back ..as a kildare fan i want to be realist and i think an all ireland is beyond our reach its just a shame that some people in our county have to post stuff like this

its very easy to score against a poor team and a poor defence, sure jaysus they could have brought on a few of the fans by the end and they probly would've scored too. what about in our game where were these 'natural forwards' when yous needed them? they wernt as good when they were put under pressure and thats what will keep happening to kildare when they go up against decent teams.

I notice that the heading of this does not say "when"

Tradition is a big factor.

I grew up dreaming we might win a Leinster football (our hurlers were so far down their winning was not even a dream) and we did but it took another 11 years for the All Ireland.

And then our hurlers caught the bug and even surpassed the footballers in All Ireland wins.

Both are back in the doldrums but we showed what can happen.

So the Limerick's, Sligo's, Kildare's etc can dream the dream as well, as so many Ulster counties proved in the last 20 years.

Of course what is tradition, Kerry of the 70's & 80's, Dublin & Meath in the 50's. Mayo around then as well. Kildare 1919 to 29. Its opinion and most of us have different ones !!!

In fairness the Kildare posters on here are just making Kildare fans look like a joke. Dublin, who are entitled to talk about all Irelands are looking no further than their next game, now what reason do Kildare have to talk about All Irelands when they have beaten only Offaly and Cavan in the Championship. Plenty of teams have beaten better opposition, Leitrim included and they are not talking about All Irelands!

Nope, the problem against Meath was the half back line and the midfield were kicking aimless balls into the forward line and they didn't give our forwards a chance!

What's wrong with dreaming ClassApart, can we not dream? Is that not what brings us to matches, the hope (more than belief on occasions!!) of winning and moving a step closer to Sam? What will bring all the Meath supporters to Croke Park on Sunday, hardly the belief that they will win? I would say more the hope that they will win.
