Kildare Will Win the All Ireland

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

outrageous thread , Kildare supporters need to keep their heads down until they get back to Croke park should they get past Limerick & Sligo , any talk about All Irelands from a Kildare point of view is absolutely crazy until then , can see this thread getting a lot of attention for some reason

I hope you's wait for next year and you's have a new squad selection policy....we don't want another tainted title on our hands :)

There is absolutely no evidence that points toward Kildare winning an AI. They have proven to be proverbial bottlers. In 2009, '10 and '11 Tyrone, Down and Donegal were all there for the taking but Kildare just didn't have it in them to beat them. A glimmer of hope is that they are slow Championship starters. They are a driven bunch of players. But lets face it they lose to the bigger teams as soon as they play them simply due to the fact they are limited players in terms of skill. They've a magnificent work ethic and astounding fitness levels, but there is so much you can coach a player. Team's have to have a certain amount of players in their team that possess extreme natural talent to win an All-Ireland. No team flukes an AI. That's why Kerry, Tyrone, Dublin and Cork win AIs cos they've Galvin and Cooper, Cavanagh and Stephen O'Neill, Alan and Bernard Brogan and Goulding and O'Connor, respectively.

in fairness to Kildare they've very good attacking players which O'Flaherty , Bolton , O'Connor , Kavanagh , Conway , Doyle , Callaghan all are , Smith is the only out and out finisher starting on the Kildare team at present but this could change with the emergence of Podge Fogarty and addition of SJ

Suncroft is an embarressment for Kildare. Last week he said their minors are the best team out there. Before that Kildare were going to hammer Meath. We all know what happened then!

Apart from Doyle all them players have flattered to deceive. They are average at best. When push has come to shove they have fallen flat on their faces and failed to produce when needed most. I like O'Flaherty, he's a nice footballer but he misses more than he scores whether its set-plays or from play. Bolton is a brilliant player, Kildare's best imo, scores a lot but hes a half back so hes not gona rip teams apart. O'Connor is ok but he scores little or nothing for full forward. I thought Kavanagh could be a quality player but he's gone backwards since 2010. Teams deal easily with him. Conway is too flashy for my liking. Good player but, if somebody gets stuck in he won't want to know. Johnny Doyle has been a great servant but I think hes starting to show his age and the effects of carrying Kildare for years. Callaghan is a good player, similar to Bolton but he not a corner forward whose going to win a game on his own. Smith's ok, he's a bit too inconsistent to be a top class forward and McGeeney has him in and out of the team. Fogarty and SJ will have to prove themselves at this level. SJ has never really played a big game in Croker against good teams. He could be a massive player for Kildare though. But doubts remain.

Suncroft,
I was going to suggest that you had a touch of sunstroke but then we haven't had any sun yet this summer.

Ah look pigon after all the anti kildare threads lately we can at least have a bit of fun and look forward with a bit of a optimistic vibe again!!
so again f*ck the begrudgers and ON WE ROLL LILLYWHITES TO PORTLAOISE SATURDAY.
also noticed that the gaa have put an extra fiver on for this game so stand is 20 euro and terrace is 15 children are now 5 euro not only do the force kildare to travel but now want extra money out of our supporters because kildare have such a large following taking advantage or what coffers!!
This is a stand alone fixture and whats the difference between round 2 or 3 qualifier?
Looking forward to saturday limerick will be tricky and i have liked limerick myself over the past few years hope we have enough to get over them and the lilly contingent continues!!

If the Kildare players are anything like the supporters, and going by the Meath game, they will probably have their eye on the Quarter Finals and could get caught by either Limerick or Sligo!

Ah yes, Kildare, the team who have never beat Kerry, Cork, Dublin, Donegal, Mayo, Down or Tyrone under their current manager in the Championship. Definite All-Ireland for them.

Look this is a joke thread. I mean leitrim should have one too. Let's be honest they have as much chance of winning it.
Kildares only hope of success this year was leinster and I wonder who put a end to that?
