As said already i overrated Galway the rest was general observation and once Galway flopped let's be honest Mayo weren't going to lose to Leitrim,Sligo now were they?
Going back to last year a defeat to London would have given the Mayo players, fans a horrible mindset no way would they lift themselves for the next game and Horan would have been gone after one season but of course that didn't happen Mayo fell over the line v London and as they say the rest is history.
What's my point on quite a bit between Mayo - Kerry,Donegal,Cork,Kerry,Dublin etc? maybe to show you and others that it's doesn't matter about individuals never did.
Fairly obvious? where's my dislike for Mayo i always give honest opinions (which most neutrals agree with) but for some reason yourself and other Mayo fans have a bee in your bonnet about something? for the record I'm on all the forums the only one's where i got insults is Mayo,Dublin pages however i'm made of stronger stuff and i'll continue to give my knowledgeable views.

Oh and i'm not selling anything just believe it.

Gaa_lover look everyone's entitled top their opinion and I wouldn't try to run anyone off the forum. However this "neutral" line is complete nonsense. You can claim it all you like but it's impossible to be a neutral in the GAA. Where are you from so that you took such a keen interest in our games???? You have an affiliation to a County and that's that.

You're full of it GAA lover, every thread you go on, it turns into a thread about you and your neutrality. Who cares, discuss the football, not your ridiculous internetz personality disorder.

I don't care whether you think it's the truth or not, you always have something to say about Mayo and it's always negative. Who do you think you're fooling???

Killer, I born was in the USA and have a love for everything GAA to be honest i have a keen interest in Connacht football more than the other provinces. Maybe i should start saying something positive about Mayo to turn your frown up side down? let's face facts this thread was set up asking can Mayo win the All Ireland i gave my opinion if you think that's negative so be it.

You have to have an affinity with a county Gaa_lover and it is obvious you ave something against Mayo. Honest you may be but you can sense a little anti-Mayo no matter how you dress it up.

Killer, Andy Morans goal was disallowed for a throw ball and rightly so, you got a Ghost Point and that made the difference.
It was a a poor game with 2 poor team's and your still on here telling us how good you could be if the ref allowed you to be :)

As a closet Mayo fan I would like to think the answer is Yes, it's when I am having more difficulty with.

It was not a throw ball though but you are right that is what the ref indicated but he was wrong, we deserved to win and if we were to play Sligo ten times , we would win every time but there is no doubting Sligo brought an intensity and determination with them last sunday but a very limited team in general, we cleaned midfield and it is worrying for our forward line that they didn't convert that into scores, hopefully we'll get our shooting boots on for croker.

There was very little in that decision. It could quite easily have been let go. There was a clear striking action. The only question is whether or not it was underhand. The ref was wrong to give a free for "throwing", it clearly wasn't a throw. Ye may thank that borderline decision for keeping Sligo in the game so long.

Speak for yourself, Mayo aren't a poor team. We're not one of the elite but to call Mayo a poor team is just wumming and shows a complete lack of Knowledge. Top 4 last year, Division 1 Final this year and Connacht Title retained. Yeah we're awful aren't we. Get real.

Kildare are currently rated at 12/1 with paddy power for the All Ireland the same as Mayo. Kildare are have to win two games to reach the last eight what does those odds tells us about the general opinion of Mayo?

Why would you expect Mayo's odds to shorten just because they won Connacht? We're behind Cork, Dublin and Kerry which is about right. I personally don't see why Donegal are so much shorter than Mayo and Kildare.

Yeah I looked at that last night and thought the same Mayo are already in the quarter stage I think they are a good team but the quality of opposition just two games to get there wont stand to them I see them going to the semi and thats it.

the team of 96 was the only mayo team that should have won an all ireland, id say it wasnt bottling it for the other finals but simply that they were outclassed on all other occasions, i dont think this mayo team can win an all ireland simply because its not even as good a team that they had in all those other finals, they need more scoring forwards and o se isnt good enough in midfield, would love to see mayo do it as their loyal supporters have followed them through thick and thin but connacht football is in very bad fettle at the moment, the connacht final was played at such a slow pace, looked like a club game, the intensity was dire and the football ability worse. it really cant get any worse!!!!
