Will Mayo win the All Ireland?

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

I didn't see anything in yesterdays connaught final to suggest that Mayo could win sam. Of the four provincials winners (I know we dont have them all yet, but picking either/or) Mayo are probably the weakest.

I don't see why Dublin lads are all high and mighty.one all Ireland win since 1995 with the resources ye have at your disposal doesn't warrant a dismissal of Mayo. Personally I think why not. A team more than capable of defeatting any team. Even Paul halving referred how there's more steel about them, they have shaped up physically and there's a bit more wit about them. They have a better chance than ros anyway.... 1000 miles away from home and feel depressed about the state of set up. Can't imagine sentiment at home. Similar for galway too. Whatever result here's hoping Mayo will challenge for dam and win along with good performance from Leitrim. Top it with an all Ireland minor win for ros and all might work out well

Thanks for that Ros2013, I have always been a strong supporter of Roscommon and I wish your minor team well.

Why would anyone at the moment think Mayo will win the All Ireland?

I dont know what the Dublin lads are on about, they won the All Ireland last year and we are ten points a better team.

I dont know why Kildare people are writing us off anyway.Kildare have beaten NOBODY of note in championship football since they were taken over by McGeeney. They haven't even reached a leinster final.A manafactured team with no natural ability.Bluffers.!

Of course we can win it. Will we win it? Maybe not, but we have as good a chance as any team. You are all saying that we won't win it playing like we did against Sligo but we all know that Mayo only played to 50% of their ability. And if you are going by that basis, Dublin also have no chance of winning Sam. Winning while playing poorly is something we have not being able to do until this year. So you never know, it could be our year.

Christ Paddy you're some gowl at times. Why would you dangle us up in front of the Mayo-bashers like that??

Dont be ashamed of what are you and don't be a defeatists. All those heavy recent losses to Islandeady have ruined your confidence.

Probably not. But I don't see why people rate Donegal and sometimes even Kildare ahead of them.

I'm not ashamed Paddy but this is exactly the kind of thing we get hammered for on here. Starting a thread on the national page about our chances of winning sam, you're asking for trouble. Lets just stay quiet for a while yeah?

We're in the last 8 so of course there's a chance. We're still a good bit of say the Dubs at full tilt IMO but it'd be great to get through our QF and have a crack at them. At the moment we're going in a little under the radar after Sunday's display so lets keep it like that. Sssshhhh!

They have a good team but think they are lacking a bit of experience and 2 top level forwards to win Sam
