Leaving Mullingar yesterday I felt some what cheated by the Gaa and by the ref. How many times can a ref so strongly influence a game, i understand that a ref is human and can make bad calls, perhaps 1 or 2 a game, however yesterday was ridiculous to say the least and im sure everyone westmeath fan would agree. It left me thinking is it just poor standard or did the ref have some to gain from such a result. Sex (Louth) - Posts: 25 - 01/07/2012 14:38:25 1206188 Link 0 |

Thought Coldrick had a poor game yesterday too. Some baffling decisions that went against both teams. Lifford Gael (Donegal) - Posts: 1925 - 01/07/2012 14:50:07 1206196 Link 0 |

How in the name of God can you blame the ref for your players stupidity. They struck. Red card. Get over it square_ball_69 (Westmeath) - Posts: 826 - 01/07/2012 14:59:34 1206200 Link 0 |

Do Louth ever actually lose a game or is it always the refs fault? moomoo (Kerry) - Posts: 4023 - 01/07/2012 15:06:01 1206204 Link 0 |

He caught him with a high tackle with a closed fist.. After this he tried to drag the clearly injured player back to his feet.. He deserved the red for stupidity alone. What were the two stone wall red cards for Westmeath out of curiosity? square_ball_69 (Westmeath) - Posts: 826 - 01/07/2012 15:21:05 1206212 Link 0 |

Standard of refin is disgraceful in both hurling and football, Gavin last week in the Tipp Cork game was a disgrace, and he has been for along time. therealtmo (Tipperary) - Posts: 1292 - 01/07/2012 15:49:04 1206251 Link 0 |

The standard of reffin is poor . There is no consistency from one game to the next. And this so called 2/3 minutes of added time needs to be taken from the refs hands. Bring in the clock before some team get mullered over a bad timekeeping decision richiej (UK) - Posts: 1430 - 01/07/2012 19:18:03 1206577 Link 0 |

Whatever about red or yellow cards, the ref clearly cant count, connolly scored the first goal on the ninth step. When did that rule change ? yellabelly (Wexford) - Posts: 1062 - 02/07/2012 08:23:25 1206916 Link 0 |

Mr Louth man, have you ever made a mistake of human error and especially when you were under pressure? Referees are human and if you think a system whereby they are accountable for every decision they make which is wrong is the answer, well you wont have many referees very soon.
