1200957 Down No 7 definitely walked on the Monaghan players head on purpose. You could see him have a look and then put the foot down. Wasn't picked up on by the commentary.

BBC commentary picked up on it. They didn't say much but added that the GAA authorities will act on it.

Down won that game despite the referee.....even Spillane said many of the decisions went Monaghan's away.

Well we certainly hammered de Dubs a few years ago in the Championship snuf and you cried about it for months. Have the bells stopped ringing in your ears after that total humiliation yet?

the monaghan goal should not have stood.............duffy was in the process of booking the down player but stopped mid-stream when the free was taken quickly.......the play should not have continued........ down were deprived of two penalties also..... one in the first half and one in the second half............downs no.7 stamped on the monaghan no7's head.........looked deliberate to me but that's just my opinion............monaghan will be gutted............very enjoyable game of ball............credit to both teams.

monaghan's goal, why doesn't every referere allow advantage like that?

----------

None of them should as
a)Benny McCardle had been called over by the ref for a booking, therefore removing him from the game - and the game needs to be paused at that stage (no play).
b)Free kick wasn't where ref said it would be.

I would have been furious had we lost.
