Hopefully, but it'll be a tough game. Big ask missing Benny Coulter, Dan Gordon and McParland, along with the other injuries too.

Hopefully with a slightly more improved set up since Fermanagh, Down will be able to at least reach an Ulster Final this year after nine long years.

I'd fancy Down, but Monaghan will have the head down and keeping quiet before this game and look to surprise.. Thing about Monaghan, their always capable of a big performance or two every year, their just so inconsistant.. Hope its a good game, some fine individuals, head says down by about 5 or 6 points..

I think this may well be decided on who's out rather than who's in. Monaghan have doubts on Finlay & Freeman with Downs's doubtful being Coulter, Gordon & McParland.
I cant see Benny & Dan starting for Down as if they have recovered from foot injuries they can be nowhere near match fit. This game may also be a week or two too early for young McParland's broken hand.
Both sides were just workmanlike last time out without giving much away. They will have to up the ante now that Tyrone or Donegal is waiting with either looking very strong contenders for Ulster.
Down to shade it by 2-3 points

Injuries will hava a major outcome on the winners of this game,Hughes,Freeman and Finlay are doubtful for Monaghan while Gordon,Coulter and McParland are doubtful for Down,I honestly believe that the Monaghan forwards are as good if not better than the Down forwards but the midfield battle will be crucial but Clerkin will give a physical edge to Monaghan. It will be tight,my head says Down but my heart says Monaghan and I think the Monaghan minors will get a victory.

Down will win this with ease. I'm expecting them to win it by 6-8 points.

Fancy Down to win this with a few to spare. Down finished best of the Ulster teams in the NFL but most seem to be tipping Donegal for Ulster and Tyrone to a lesser degree. Down might just spring a surprise if they manage to get their injuries cleared up.

Very wary of Monaghan. I think they've got a big game in them and if we're not approaching our best, we'll get beat.

I think Monaghan have the credentials to win this game.

however, every prediction I've made recently in GAA, Euro 2012, or any horse I've backed in the last month has been so badly wrong, it's hilarious.

So Down to win!

Monaghan will win this one, they're playing a down side low on confidence after having just scraped by Fermanagh.

I think down will win although i do think they are the most overrated team in ireland. Monaghan are not good though

Down to win comfy enough I would say. They are very good from midfield up. Won with ease against us...although ref done us no favours and we played right into their hands. But Down are a better outfit than Monaghan. They didn't look special against Antrim until Freeman came on.

redhanddefender, most over rated team? Try the most under rated team in Ireland,

Down were poor against Fermanagh and Fermanagh didnt play to their full potential either.. Play like this against Monaghan and we'll get destroyed.. A lot of people believe down will win with comfort.. That's not going to happen.. We all know Monaghan are physical and have plenty of experience.. Im gonna say down by 2 but won't be one bit surprised if Monaghan win because they are also well capable of winning an ulster..

What game were you watching? I didn't see anybody scraping past anyone.

And Redhand, sure you're not thinking of Kildare or yourselves there? Div 2 going to your head?

Down are over rated for sure, they're held in high regard cos they won a few all irelands centuries ago. They are average at best and i expect Monaghan to put it up to them. There is very little between these two teams
