Cork Boo Boys

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

why shouldnt cork do it they were at home had the bigger crowd so they were using the bigger support to put the kicker off
i rather the whistling and arm waving when they are taking a free as the arm movement puts them off more haha
seriously though what do we want it to be boring and not do anything, next people will be complaining at supporters singing a song while the match is on as its unfair on the players trying to concentrate.as for the silence in rugby they showed their through colours against wales i think it was when wales got a penalty in the last minute the whole aviva stadium boooooed the kicker because if he got it wales would win so they pick and choose their curtisy

I'v no problems with the cork boo boys because it usually comes back to haunt them, when it concerns kerry anyway,so actually it's an amusing aside, they can't help it ,it's a genetic manifestation from an amusing race of people'a sort of pathos if you like.

haha your a gas man. I suppose its like when Cadogan & O Leary were booed in Killarney last year, it came back to haunt ye in AI final. The Kerry fans are no better than ours when it comes to booing players.

With respect waynol it is,like dublin and meath there is an intense rivalry and passion but without the level of hostility that is so evident between yere set of supporters,i find the booing as a pathetic, juvenile aside as opposed to an affront, apart from galvin donaghy and o' mahony who the cork supporters seem to revel in booing we ourselfs revel in the booing of o' leary and codogan, all infantile stuff really, but sure it's all in a game pathetc as it may seem.

Rebel og i had my post sent before i read yours,do we now get a wish, anyway cork did not come back to haunt us last year or maybe i was in a time warp and sure was it not an achievement to be contesting another all-ireland final rather than been beaten in the quarters.

People on here just don't understand the Cork/Kerry thing. I was at the game as well and I didn't notice any Kerry free takers being booed. Paul Galvin certainly came in for some of the treatment, but considering what Cork supporters have had to watch from him down the years, it's not surprising that he's not a favorite. Ditto Cooper for his diving. As for slagging, who can deny that Kieran Donehy is the All-Ireland champion at it?

Noel O'Leary has certainly got more unnecessarily aggressive in recent years, which is something I regret. He has also resorted to slagging recently, which isn't pleasant to see. Down the years Noel has been pilloried by Kerry supporters for simply standing up to Galvin. People can put up with it only so long.

Up to now, Cork have been seen as soft by Kerry because of the amount of abuse they take without striking back. The Tadgh Kennelly incident was a watershed moment in this regard. I am glad that Cork aren't going to take that kind of abuse any more.

On the other hand, Eoin Cadogan, in spite of poisonous remarks by Kerry supporters on Kerry GAA, seems to have cut out the messing which simply took from his game in hurling and football. I say to Dublin and other counties, that you can't make a judgement on Cork unless, like them, you have to play Kerry year in year out, and put up with what we have to put up with Kerry-minder referees.

As for Cork regretting it later in the year, I do sincerely hope that we meet Kerry again. Anytime, boys. Let's be having you.

Good points there, too long did our lads let Darragh O Se & Tommy Griffen bully them on the pitch with their dirty play. At last there showing some bit of bottle.

Just to illustrate my point which you rubbished, in the Donegal vs Derry game currently on TV, the Derry goalkeeper on every kick out is being boo'ed, contrast with the Donegal free taker being greeted with absolute silence.

I repeat sections of ALL county fans indulge in this.
