As far as I know i would say the meath bench will be something like this
16: Justin Carry-Lynch
17. Paddy Gilsenan
18. Eoghan Harrington
19. Chris O'Connor
20. Eoin Reilly
21. Brian Sheridan
22. Jamie Queeney
23. Peader Byrne
24. Damien Carroll
25. Mark Collins
26. Ciaran Lenihan

id say Peadar Byrne will probably be deployed as a midfielder, most likely one anyway

The gameplan at the moment seems to be to play with 3 midfielders, Gillespie, Reilly and Meade. If one gets injured we could just play with 2. Or Menton could be moved to midfield. Or Peadar Byrne, or Damien Carroll or Eoin Reilly. Lots of options. Not traditional midfielders by any means but that is no bad thing. Above all midfielders now need to be fit and mobile rather than just tall and good at fielding high balls.

yes but our midfield been fast and mobile is not going to stop carlow fielding the ball.its no good been mobile when you dont have the ball.

If they spread out for kickouts, one in the middle and one towards each wing (even make the odd run into space) it gives options. In the past (pre-Wicklow match) we were pretty much kicking everything down the middle making it easy for the opposition to anticipate and crowd out our high fielder.

Best of luck to the lads tomorrow. Hopefully it is another positive step to redemption.
Hopefully we bring a good crowd.

I presume you will get them on the day just like you could against carlow. i doubt the gaa say you can because they want to avoid delays because half the people left buying tickets until match day.

As a Westmeath fan I would love nothing more than Carlow hammering Meath, but that won't happen.

Carlow had a great year last year but they are a poor division 4 team and Meath should have no trouble today.
