1189451 Will there be many travelling down from meath for the match.

Plenty I'm sure and the added bonus about the (earlier) 2pm start, is if anyone wishes people to also see the Spain vs. Italy match as well, they should make it home for 5ish.

Have me tickets and looking looking forward to it. O'Connor Pak is a fine venue. I will stay for some of the second game. Best of Luck to the Meath team on sunday. C'mon the Royal.

Yes there are about 54,321 heading down. I'd say there will be slightly more than what travelled down to the wicklow match. Tullamore is easy to get to for most non east meath fans so i'd expect a bigger crows than carlow. it's the same price as well and some faith has been restored after we beat wicklow so even the doubters will believe were going to win this one. For the 2 games I'm going to predict 15,000. Probably won't happen, wexford and arlow won't have much support and longford although well supported have a tiny population so numbers will hardly be great.

score was 1.25 to 0.8 and game before was mcgeeneys first championship game with kildare which they lost to wicklow 0.13 to 0.9

Completely forgot about the game before it. I remember coming in for the end of the game. Great to see that win for Wicklow. Meath game was shocking, one of the teams should have been given home advantage, toss a coin for it. And the hill should have been opened would have gotten ore of a crowd up to it.

no thats carlow who have had the challenge matches against cork and dublin. Before i thought we were going to win easy but i think carlow might actually put up a good game like they wouldnt go through a five day camp and play good challenge matches against cork and dublin and then suddenly go out and let us have an easy game.

if this rain keeps up then itl make life interesting sunday. Meath teams in the past had a huge advantage when it rained. the present bunch not so much. carlow could upset. sunday is all about winning for meath.

The worst of the rain should be over by then, so hopefully it will be a decent enough day. Sunday's weather forecast isn't so bleak.

It's a decent looking side that Banty has named, doubt it's a dummy team. This team is coming together nicely and I think Johnny Evans has made a positive impact.

Weather's awfull but you never know, greasy ball in on top of the two big, full-forwards can cause all kinds of problems. Bray and Gilsenan linking play from midfield, we can do damage. We need that game against Kildare for the acid test though. Go on the Royal!

banty seems to have a blind spot when it comes to cian ward, hes a very lucky man to keep his place

i think maybe hes put cian ward in to take the frees and if he has a good game and we win and he gets into form for the kildare game it will be very good thing for us. some people said to put him on the bench and then he could have a good game against kildare because that happened last year with louth when he was left off for the kildare match but if you actually remember cian only got on for the louth game because stephen bray was injured, like it wouldnt be fair to put him on the bench and then suddenly take off one of the forwards who plays well and hope cian plays well against kildare(if we beat carlow) and sure if he doesnt play well banty can always take him off and put paddy gilsenan on instead

I'm liking the way Meath are sahping up lads! Could be our year.

Whats the story with Wardy???? Would have had Collins on instead? If Ward doesnt pull his socks up against Carlow I want Collins back for Kildare. And yes, we will beat Carlow....this is Meath and its championship 2012! Wan the royal.

Very disappointing to see the loss of Seamus but on a positive note it will give some of the young guns the chance to come in and bring the team to a new level. Its the same team for the past few years that have been in a steady state of decline so the future has to be invested in new players. Best of the luck to the lads on Sunday, I think we'll do the business and set up a cruch tie V Kildare
