Watching Dublin v Louth, well you look at it and you say,how they hell do we lose to Louth, they are one of the worst teams in the country!

They seemed to go into the match knowing they were going to lose. It seemed like Louth were just trying to minimise the damage.

My team, presuming Steven Bray wont be fit, would be:
1. David Gallagher
2. Mickey Burke
3. Kevin Reilly
4. Donal Keoghan
5. Shane McEnarney
6. Bryan Menton
7. Donacha Tobin
8. Conor Gilispie
9. Brian Meade
10.Mark Collins
11.Cian Ward
12.Graham Reilly
13.Paddy Gilsenan
14.Joe Sheridan
15.Brian Farrell

I am fairly confident that will be the team, with Paddy G coming in for the unlucky Alan Forde. I just think collins can offer more, especially on the wings.

I agree with most peoples teams here, Cian Ward deserves a seat on the bench to just get his head on the game again. He is hot and cold, I do not think he will be missed against Carlow as there should be enough in the tank for them.

However Midfield is still a problem and I reckon Meath will struggle here (again) hopefully Bray and Gilsenan will be back but if not Farrell should enjoy another good day with Forde/ Collins moaking up the other space.

Defence should be rejigged to try other players in postions ( maybe dropping Mac and giving someone else a shot )

With the mounting injuries I think players need to be thrown into difficult positions to give some diversity before we meet a strong side with no damage limitation

Forward wise I think Reilly , Sheridan and Farrell are all certain starters , with Forde , Collins , Ward , Bray and Gilseanan fighting it out for the other three spots with Byrne and Brian Sheridan the outsiders , from those four I'd pick Bray , Gilseanan and Collins with the forward line looking like this
10 Gilseanan
11 Collins
12 Reilly
13 Bray
14 Sheridan
15 Farrell
with Forde , Ward , Brian Sheridan and Byrne all set to make an impact from the bench

Why do we get the 2 slot? It should be longford v wexford first then meath v carlow.

In the case of extra-time between Longford and Wexford. Our game would go to a replay if drawn.

Lads we have a long way to go to be even hold a candle to Dublin we struggled to beat a Div 4/3 team the Dubs humiliated a div 2 team that humiliated us. Not looking good Meath will not win another all Ireland for at least 5 - 10 years with the way the current set up is no minor Final has been contested since 2002 U 21 since 1993. When u look at Dublin Galway Tyrone they are always contesting these finals. And how long has it been since Dunshaughlin did Meath some justice in the All Ireland club scene. We have been beaten out the gate in recent years. Not looking good.

royaldunne, the Carlow/Meath clash is the curtain raiser as it is a D3/4 battle whereas the Wexford /Longford clash is a D2 clash. This is the reason why the second match is the main match on the program. An early start. Will many wait for the main match

What did you make of your own shower against Galway? I'd say you've plenty to be optimistic about.

No Jacl L, not the reason at all. Possibility of extra time in the replay has prompted this. Which county are you from.? Not brave enough to tell us your own county!
