i heard a rumour carlow are treating this game as an all ireland final seriously going to pile on the pressure against meath and with a day out in a training camp carlow will be looking to cause a few upsets ;-)

Im Baffled, I couldnt make the game today with work, but had it on a computer, Meath were 5 points ahead in the first half. the second half then meath were just a point or two ahead. Like what was the story any chance of player ratings or are they worth it?

Jeez royaldunne you'd see the silver lining on a mushroom cloud! No disrespect to Carlow but but that is the worst Meath championship result in a few years. This is a team that this year in Division 4 lost at home to Leitrim and were beaten by 11points at home to Fermanagh. I'm not trying to slag anyone here but are there not footballers in the county to overhaul some of this squad? It seems clear they will just not play for Banty and they assume they will outlive him so don't care. It's a terrible attitude and really Meath supporters deserve better.

Look at facts. This present meath team ravaged by injuries- ward, o rourke, bray, kenny. but still should be beating carlow. the loss of caoimhin king looks a huge mistake by banty now. mc anarney is not a center back. menton should have been at 6. harrington should be played corner back. instead of playing half backs corner backs. im not skape goating gallagher but he doesnt have any competition. paddy or rourke should be the 2nd goalkeeper. all is not lost. but kildare and dublin in the future if we play either will be heavy losses.

Why not blame Banty? If we won he'd take all the credit. Some say that if we won the All Ireland HE would go up for the Sam Maguire! He has promised us sun, moon and stars and brought us misery and humiliation. The players deserve better. We are ALL letting them down. How much more can we take, will we take?
