It's funny if it was in any other sport people would be crying out who does that player think he is. Could you imagine Brian O'Driscoll heading off with the fingers up.
Do you not realise that this is a professional sport now. It's also about being part of a team doing the long haul with your team mates.

one of the biggest sporting events hahaha thats why it wasnt a full house even no wonder donaghy got tickets.
i thaught gaelic football was a religion in kerry and dublin supporters are supposed to be soccer fans.
now we have country guys agreeing with going to support british soccer teams
the phrase run with the hare and hunt with the hound comes to mind.
a bit of an embarressment for the gaa a big name like him running off to worship another sport.
he was right to drop him a week before championship match as im sure he was out drinking when over there aswell while his team mates where training and had been preparing for tipp this weekend just shows you the respect donaghy had for tipp

Leave off hill16fan,youre talking through your behind.Kerry people have as much interest in soccer as anyone else around the country. This story about him being dropped for going to teh champs league final is false anyway! He is dropped fro a loss of form

And you can give up right there questioning Donaghys commitment to the jersey, this is the same man who played a national league game for Kerry 2 days after the death of his father. How many more players in the country would have done this?

Im delighted with this call, Donaghty has not perfomred for Kerry for a long time now.

This will motivate him and hopefully we get a positive reaction.

Less media work and do your talking on the field.

yes he may have had the commitment then and im not questioning that
im questioning his respect for tipperary as he obviously doesnt see them as any good that he would swan off to germany a week before championship match.

Donaghy is an amuter sportsman its no big deal if he went to Munich last weekend
when the Gaa start paying players then they can dictate to the players without the
likes of Donaghy and CO the fat cats in Croke Park whould have no cream

nobody is stopping him going to watch another sport thats his choice but if he misses training and preparations for kerrys first championship match well then you cant blame jack o connor either for dropping him hes only right to do this as he has plenty of players their who did turn up and prepare right for the match

I wonder how worried you would be if a Dublin player did the same...
