Yes Jackeen I can, Dublin (hunger/desire) Tyrone (not good enough, yet) and Kerry are under pressure to make up for handing Dublin the AI, or did they? Top players just past their best! lilypad (Kildare) - Posts: 1363 - 22/05/2012 18:52:11 1178351 Link 0 |

Well apparently Mayo choke every time we lose a game so I'd imagine we'll choke at least once this year. killer_88_ (Mayo) - Posts: 2040 - 22/05/2012 19:30:15 1178394 Link 0 |

In my opinion chocking is when a team doesn't play to their potential and throws in the towel without putting up a fight. If a team gets beaten while trying their best then they can't be accused of chocking, simple as that. OntheWhiteSide (Kildare) - Posts: 452 - 22/05/2012 19:34:38 1178397 Link 0 |

Surely Meath have won that gong already in 2012. Joint top after two league games and ended up relegated. sedico (Kildare) - Posts: 1682 - 22/05/2012 20:00:54 1178419 Link 0 |

Jackeen, read my other post above regarding the "perception! of the meaning of this thread, I'm not talking about the same type of choking. A vague enough thread, causing some confusion obviously! lilypad (Kildare) - Posts: 1363 - 22/05/2012 20:29:51 1178445 Link 0 |

Well the most vulnerable to choking this season has to be Kildare, through no real fault of their own the media has told them that they are heavyweights of Gaelic Football (Jason Sherlock's words to be exact) and that basically they have to win Leinster this year. Now I think they are more than capable of winning Leinster but a lot of pundits (at least half that I've read) are tipping them to win it and hence making them favourites, now I'm sorry but the reigning AI champions surely have to take the favourites tag. Mayo are the chokers surely, they play great football up unitl they have to travel east to Croke Park then the choking begins. The big City Lights, the fast cars, the multitude of ethnic minority's and the availability of electricity and clean running water causes Mayo people to get nervous. Even the fans all look as green as their Jersey when they are seated in Croke Park, nervously watching their team throw it all away again. cacsmckilly (Tyrone) - Posts: 1294 - 23/05/2012 08:41:39 1178540 Link 0 |
