Crowd Attendance

Yeah that's just brilliant analysis chestnut. Come on answer the question - why make up nonsense and present it here as fact when clearly you know nothing about the subject you are commenting on. Why do you do that - answer the question.

I know, that if you are truthful, the answer you give will be a sad one but at least then the rest of us might then have some pity on you ....

11200 in Ballybofey today for donegal v derry.Great attendances in Ulster this year

-------------------------
The Galway v Roscommon had attendance of 12,000 most their weren't happy with the poor following & you think 11,000 at a Donegal (ulster champions semi finalist) is great crowd?

16 or 17 thousand for kildare v ofally. Another really good turnout i imagine most of those were kildare fans considering how well they've been doing this year and the last few years. there will be a big turnout for the meath v kildare semi and i'm sure dublin will bring a reasonably big crowd too. would anyone think 70 plus thousand is possible?

was kildare and ofally a double header with galway and ofally? might explain the high attendance although judging from this pic there was a huge kildare turnout for their first game. http://www.sportsfile.com/id/647328/

Very possible. I think there were 32,000 in Croke Park for the first Dublin day out when Loch Garman, An Longfort, Áth Cliath agus An Lú were playing and I have to say not many seemed to be there from outside Baile Átha Cliath that day. I'd imagine more Dubs will come out, more from Loch Garman and An Mhí agus Cill Dara always bring decent enough crowds with them (although I heard there were only about 4,000 in O Connor Park yesterday). I think there will be at least 50,000 plus there.

Terrible turn out for the Clare Waterford game.
30 euro for a stand ticket too much,

Any ideas on what Tipp and Cork will be?

Disappointing that only 12,000 people in the grand Thurles stadium for Clare/Waterford.

And a fair point made by another poster regarding Clare/Waterford supporters having to travel, given the scandalous price of petrol these days. €25 of petrol used to get me home from Dublin to Wexford & back, takes €40 of petrol for me to do that now. I'm sure everyone has a story like that to tell so no doubt it plays on us all when travelling to matches.

But principally, at €30 a ticket, the attendance speaks for itself

Wake up and smell the coffee GAA!

I'm sick of them banging on about not having any increases in their prices over the years, it's time to action some decreases. They won't get the crowds without it

leinster council are pulling the wool over our eyes too
its 25 euro into the stand and 15 euro to the terrace for this weekends hurling semi final
but yet the following week for the football semi final its 30 euro into the stand and 20 euro into the hill
just because they know the football will have a bigger crowd their both semi finals

I s'pose that's you call shrewd business. Still too much though. €20 & €10 would certainly bring a far bigger crowd in either code
