Crowd Attendance

Some great attendances already this championship, great stuff! Nothing beats a packed out stadium, the Athletic grounds looked unreal on Sunday!

I think there was 23k at Cork V Kerry

That's about right. Kerry folk hate travelling to Páirc Uí Chaoimh, it's an awkward old spot and cramped once you get inside it. I don't think the Cork crowd really like it either, which is why they travel in huge numbers to Killarney.

Its true you would get almost as much Cork support had the game been back in Killarney mainly due to state of the Pairc at the moment and the hassle in getting there. Still though not a bad crowd considering there was a very small Kerry following at it.

I'm sure the Morgan Athletic Grounds will be full for the Down vs. Monaghan game as it only holds 16,500. I thought they would have played this game in Páirc Mhic Asmaint.

I would say so, though I don't think it will sell out until just before throw in. Hopefully Monaghan fans travel in numbers too, guaranteed a great Down support, we always travel in numbers.

I think the Munster Council will be in for a bit of a shock on Sunday when they witness the paltry crowd that will turn up for the game between Clare and Waterford

they look great attendances because they are being played in small stadiums but while was great to see a big crowd in armagh the reality is there was a bigger crowd in pairc ui chaoimh just doesnt look as good in a bigger stadium

No harm in that Hill16no1man. I'd like to see more of this. There is nothing worse than having a stadium looking empty.

11,200 for Derry v Donegal is not great. Donegal nearly got to the AI final last year and Derry are their neighbours. This game should be getting around 20,000.

Just over 5,00 in Tullamore last night chestnut, you can't get anything right can you?

Game over after 20 mins you said - obviously you weren't there as if you were you would have heard the official attendance announced and you would know that playing into the breeze Carlow actually led at the 20 minute mark. Why bother contributing here if you don't know what you are talking about? Concentrate on Cavan football will you ....

carlow didnt score from the 18 minute till the 60 minute and only scored 3 points from play

Rumour is that only 2,000 Waterford fans travelling for the game today, and not a huge crowd from Clare either.

A few years ago a game between these two would be heading towards a full house in Thurles.

yeah but people are overlooking the fact that cork v kerry had a better crowd then armagh v tyrone which a few years ago was always a sellout in clones just beacause it doesnt fill a far bigger stadium doesnt mean its not a good crowd

More nonsense chestnut, as i asked before why come on here commenting on things you obviously know nothing about?

FYI Carlow failed to score between the 18th and 37th minutes so where did you get this notion that they failed to score til the 60th minute? Answer that will you. Also not that it matters much, apart from showing you up again, Carlow got 1-4 from play not 0-3 as you said.
