"So, 51, if they can't hold finals, why would they have a home and away arrangement which extends to finals? Think about it from a Sligo (or Leitrim) perspective." 51longago (Mayo) - Posts: 2981 - 10/06/2012 19:08:18 1191140 Link 0 |

I'm not talking about fairness either, just telling you the reason why the final won't be in Castlebar, i.e. neutral venue for Sligo or Leitrim for all finals Solo Run (None) - Posts: 317 - 10/06/2012 19:23:34 1191160 Link 0 |

2010 wasn't just bad in hindsight. We all knew about the problems in Mayo before championship. At this stage in 2010 we had been hammered out the gate in a league final, a defeat we were never going to recover from in time for championship. Again I stress that it wasn't just the football on the pitch that made 2010 the worst year I can remember in Mayo football. There were serious off-field issues that year. killer_88_ (Mayo) - Posts: 2040 - 10/06/2012 19:45:11 1191179 Link 0 |

Killer, 2010 NFL final Cork 1-17 Mayo 0-12 2012 NFL final Cork 2-10 Mayo 0-11 not much of difference TBH & Master with that type of mindset don't ever get into GAA management. Gaa_lover (USA) - Posts: 3993 - 10/06/2012 20:26:35 1191214 Link 0 |

Gaa_lover, will you stop using scorelines alone to judge a game. Bloody hell if you can't see that Mayo were completely played off the park in 2010 then there's no hope for you. We were never in the game. The 2012 final was a close game until Corks second goal. killer_88_ (Mayo) - Posts: 2040 - 10/06/2012 20:33:16 1191217 Link 0 |

fair play to silgo wat a performance if anyone said before the match silgo wu beat galway u wud have laughed but a real hard fought win from silgo an it will give the weaker counties a lift like ourselves as we prepare to take on kildare. we will have it hard to win or even get within 5 points of them but we all can have hope. blueandgold78 (Offaly) - Posts: 39 - 11/06/2012 08:10:48 1191315 Link 0 |

Not sure who to believe.. Kevin walsh made a comment in the media that if it was to be Mayo in the final then Sligo would be heading into the Lions den... which sounds like mchale park to me... unclegerry (Mayo) - Posts: 1223 - 11/06/2012 11:33:03 1191511 Link 0 |

51longago have you been under a rock or something? everyone knows only Mayo,Galway & ourselves get home or away Connacht finals. It has been agreed many moons ago that Leitrim,Sligo would get neutral finals. The_analyser (Roscommon) - Posts: 4397 - 11/06/2012 18:07:02 1192040 Link 0 |

Good man rossie, you have not an ounce of ammunition to throw at us about football so you see an opportunity here to attack over me gettin it wrong over the venue. Jesus wept. 51longago (Mayo) - Posts: 2981 - 11/06/2012 18:39:03 1192084 Link 0 |

Not the first or last time you will be wrong 51longago. You jump in with comments without thinking most of the time. Gaa_lover (USA) - Posts: 3993 - 11/06/2012 19:10:30 1192114 Link 0 |
