1173205 I feel that each County Board should be allowed to fix to the admission prices for all first round home games. You take Carlow V someone . How can the Leinster Council charge the same for that game to home fans as say Dublin V someone in Croke Park.

someone would be very busy

1171047 I ask the question should underdog supporters get cheaper admission rates to Championship games?
I think so. If you look at some of the fixtures that are due to take place how could anyone from for example Cavan go to a Cavan and Donegal game with any confidence of a win?
Only the very loyal supporters will go and people that have relations on the team. Surely the GAA would be better off filling Breffni/Kingspan park by giving Cavan supporters cheaper admission to a game where the result is 99% assured and the only question is how much we will get beat by. This I feel would do the GAA in Cavan a world of good and bring out the fair weather supporters to see Cavan. These supporters are generally happy to listen to it on the wireless. The same goes for Leirtim, Killkenny, Waterford, supporters.

What are opinions on this?

Donegal are taking Cavan very seriously, more serious than some might think. Jim McGuinness knows this Cavan team are a potential banana skin, and are going to be tough cookies in the coming years.

lads,

tom smith is a WUM who we in cavan have learned to ignore on our own forum so now he's trying to get some mileage from the national forum.

for any man to suggest that its a matter of how much we get beat by is a disgrace. yes we are going into the game as underdogs, but that attitude is just plain sickening.

for the betterment of this forum for those who use it properly: GO AWAY TOM!

everyone has a right to their opinion, but admin, it baffles me as to how you can continuously allow these ridiculous posts through.

This may work for a Cavan and Donegal game as the accents are quite different. Local turnstile operators could easily distinguish between the fans by simply asking them where they're from. I foresee problems however when neighbouring counties play each other. Say Cork play Kerry in Páirc Uí Chaoimh and Cork are the underdogs. It could prove very difficult for the local turnstile operator to distinguish between a south Kerry and west Cork accent. The problem may be further compounded when country teams play in Croke Park as all country people sound the same to a Dub. I'm not sure how you'll get around these problems Tomsmith.

Cavanman 47,

To sit in Breffni/kingspan Park yesterday and watch Cavan been outplayed/outfielded/outfoxed was very disappointing.
To say that the Cavan management could not see the Donegal Goalkeepers ploy of finding his cornerback with short kickout was incrediable.
I felt cheated to have to pay my E25, but the fellow beside me that came down from Dublin and had to pay the Toll money was even harder hit.
I do wish that we get a weaker county in the back door draw, that will not involve expensive toll travel.
Let the GAA reduce the admission fee for the backdoor draws and it may encourage people to travel.
