Jimmy Barry-Murphy---The greatest dual player ever.

Benny Tansey played hurling and football for Roscommon before he transferred to Meath and played hurling and football for Meath for many years. Not sure if anyone else has played senior intercounty in hurling and football for two counties. Equally good at both, loved by all wherever he went and unfortunately died a relatively young man last year.

Saw a young George O'Connor play football for Wexford in the 80's. He was what you'd expect him to be, super dominant in the air. Only saw him the once though.

great player in both codes one of the best to come out of the capital if he played in the most successful Dublin teams in the 1970's people would be raving about him still, great full back.

JBM was/is my favourite hurler of all time. I was lucky enough to go to many Munster finals in the 70's and 80's when it was the greatest day in Irish sport and JBM was always a class apart. the only man I have ever seen who looks to have been born with a hurl in his right hand.

cork had denis walsh also. a v useful player in both codes. our own johnny nevin also, and his shear longevity in both. sean og o halpin was another that comes to mind. mattie forde and declan browne were lads who could have made it in hurling no problem - browne played for tipp intermediates. leighton glynn to me is top of the pile at the minute . brilliant athlete.
