1087995 Am I alone in my view that this so called comedy is a load of rubbish. A veritable remake and take on the worst form of PADDYWHACKERY

It's diabolical, in the original sense of the word - the actual work of the devil! I wouldn't mind but it's on BBC, not just that silly BBC NI which isn't broadcast in big-Britain & where men dressed as old women is cutting edge comedy apparently, it's on BBC London (the Queen's favourite station), i've seen it with my own two eyes (i then gouged 'em out of course). That means O Carroll will be making series after series 'til someone takes drastic action against him.
Actually has Irish television ever produced a good comedy - I can't think of one?

yeah agree. but someone obviously likes it. people in england are a bit afraid to rubbish it as they know how sensitive we are. I think the first series of Killnaskully was funny . can't think of any other funny rte produced programme. not saying there wasn't one.. just saying I can't think of any.

Without a doubt Mrs Brown's boys is one of the worst pieces of garbage RTE has foisted on the Irish TV viewer.

The programme is a co-production between BBC Scotland and BocPix in association with RTÉ.

Actually, a lot of people liked that Paths to Freedom as well. Never saw it myself.

Just thank your lucky stars you aren't subjected to Sketchy with Diarmuid Corr on a weekly basis, that makes Mrs Brown's Boys look like Fawlty Towers

Christ almighty. It is actually laughable how god-awful this show is, and also slightly disturbing that it is actually doing well. Anyone ever see ricky gervais Extras? If you have you will know what I am talking about.

Yeah that was OK for a bit - like most of the sort of comedy it gets tedious after a while no matter how clever. My bird really liked that Bachelors walk at the time - never got into it myself but respected it was funny to some people and seemed to be well produced, was it even a sitcom though? Not like The Panel - hate everyone on that!

Hated this before.
Watched the Christmas special and thought it was very very funny. The aul wan was in tears looking at it and I suppose that made it better.
Watched the next episode, back to hating it. Cant stand that B O'C.
