Am I alone in my view that this so called comedy is a load of rubbish. A veritable remake and take on the worst form of PADDYWHACKERY

I thought that's how most people acted in Ireland, lol. My fourteen year old daughter thinks it's hilarious.

It's like the Podge and Rodge show ie funny the first time I saw it but then I realized it was just the same jokes over and over and over and over........you get the point. So basically no you're not alone, it is a load of rubbish, but to be honest I don't watch any 'comedy' of any description on RTE or TV3, infact the only thing I do watch on Irish Telly is sport.

Ps, everybody associated with Republic of Telly should be lined up and........well I can't finish it, but you know!

Well it ain't my cup of tea but I reckon its actually a young audience driving these veiwing figures, my teenage son and daughter love it as do their friends so maybe its because they have nothing to compare it to, still they laugh at it an awful lot

It's about as funny as a bad dose of piles but hey Brendan O'Carroll isn't worrying. He's selling out big venues everywhere and is making a right few quid out of it. He has made it the hard way with a few problems of his own along the way and to be fair to him he has made a few substantial donations to various charities on the back of his success so good luck to him. I still can't see the humour myself but each to their own.

Ion my view it's ham acting poor comedy, much like Killinaskully and Mattie
But people like it and so it's a good thing that this sort of humour Exists
If everyone had the same tastes it would be a boring old world
Reach for the remote but more luck to Brendan O Carroll and his followers

I agree it's simply not funny(to me)

Republic of Telly: Funniest show on TV, slates RTE for the tripe that it is and this country for the joke that it is.

Heard so much about this show, so decided to give it a try, 10 wasted minutes of my life, dire doesn't even come close!! Amazed at how popular it has become.
