I can't see the point in showing deferred coverage of bridgets and tourlestrane when the biggest football game in the west is between the Galway and Mayo champs. The corofin - ballintubber is more of a high profile game due to the fierce rivalry between the two counties.

First off i can't see the point of deferred matches, either show it live or don't at all.

Secondly fierce rivalry between the two Counties? yes bewteen the the Counties team (mayo,Galway) but not at club level sure that must have been the first time those two met?

Finally Corofin v St Brigid's now in the Connacht final, without a shadow of a doubt the two best teams in the west should be a great game hopefully TG4 has the sense to show it live.

Gaa lover, they can hardly show two matches at once.I would rather see deferred coverage of a game than getting the final score on teletext

Arron kernan runs tru takes about ten steps falls to the ground without being touch, gets a free ref even ticks the defender , seriously theses refs are getting worse.

Snuf,I actually find Crossmaglens penchant for the kick pass quite refreshing.

Snuf,

Why didn't you switch over and watch a parade of poppies then, plenty of them on TV today; you would have been far happier. You could have stood to attention, waved your Butchers Apron and cheered Lizzie and the gang. It's what de Dubs, and Cork, did best this year, show their loyalty to the Empire and Saxe-Coburgs. The Pale, bowing and scraping to British Royalty since records began!

very good game of football ballinderry really up the gears in the second half when big enda took the control of the middle. Cross could still up the game when gilligan got the goal. shows what real champions are made of, backs are a bit open but sure they will sort that out

Jealousy becomes you Ulsterman!!

Just because we won our freedom!!.........Each county got what it deserved in the struggle for fredom and granted even though many counties have been carried to their freedom by Dublin (99% of them), up in Ulster, the fact that ye did nothing for Ireland came back to haunt ye!!
The Brits simply kept the counties that were friendliest to them and never gave them any hassle!!.....ye got yer cumuppance!!

Down here we have moved on with the freedom Dublin provided while ye still suffer yer cumuppance for inactivity!!.....sure ye have to name yer county grounds in Belfast after a Dublin man.....Roger Casement!!

As for us Dubs 'getting over' our AI win!!.....Ha ha ha, you have no idea lad, I dont expect an outsider like you to have an idea!!......Some day you might experience it, but it will probably just be in your dreams!!

As for poppy day!!.....down here we dont make a big deal of it one way or the other!!........We are happy and confident with our FREEDOM the Dubs won for us!!

Regards,

Snufalufagus....Laochra Gael

Snuf,

The United Irishmen were forming on the slopes of Cavehill in Belfast in the 18th century when de Dubs was the second city of the Empire rolling over and having it's belly tickled by England. Ulster, the most Irish, Gaelic and rebellious of the provinces was planted by 100's of 1000's of the worst criminal classes of lowland Scots and troublesome Northern English tribes (all on record) and the original Irish are still here. Dublin is still very much a British, Unionist and Protestant city....Trinity, Christchurch, St. Patricks, Guinness, Bank Of Ireland, Dublin 4, your media, political establishment, 1000's of Union Jack waving Royalists....I could go on but it would only embarrass you.

I absolutely love this!!

Cave Hill!......romantic fantasy imagery!!.....could just have easily said the Cliffs of Moher!!
United Irishmen.....naturally like all movements were formed by a Dubliner!.....Wolfe Tone!!.....ahh, when there is fightin for Ireland to be done its always the Dubs that have to do it!!
For all your talk of 1798, ye waited and waited and waited and waited (like they did in the west) until finally Henry Joy McCracken decided to have a go, all after ye watched the fighting men of Leinster fall in our thousands!!......very cowardly indeed!!

Of course we have old British institutions you numpty, we were once part of the empire!!
But guess what, we kicked the empire out and you are still firmly a part of it (and the Good Friday agreement secured that for us all)!!!
Ye got yer cumuppance for not fighting for Ireland!!

Where were ye between 1922 and 1969??.......nowhere, but safe and secure and happy with yerselves up north!!......it was southeners who led the 'border campaign' cos ye were too lazy as usual to do anything for yerselves!!....yer a joke!!

Dubliners are comfortable with our city that we fought hard and had destroyed and won its freedom that we deserve for our efforts!!..........up north ye deserve what ye got for yer efforts too....to remain part of the UK for never helping the cause of Ireland!!
As the song by 'The Jam' goes: "What you give is what you get!".......and ye boys got what you gave when it comes to freedom.....a big royal 'nothing'!!

Mostly interned in the curragh camp or lined up to face firing squads by treacherous "Irishmen". Wear your poppy with pride in the knowledge that your forefathers butchered fellow Irishmen. Ulsterman I can assure you that this person is not representative of the capital city and you shouldn't think he is.
