Dublin Final probably should take precedence over Connacht 1st Rnd. GloryHunter (Meath) - Posts: 136 - 06/11/2011 17:57:49 1064127 Link 0 |
Had bet on Stephens but fair play to Oulart. Serious side. Really good tough efficient hurlers. Actually not even in the style of traditonal Wexford teams. Must be odds on now to win it out and hope they do despite or even because of Boden still being there! Only joking. Can't wait to see them face off. Will be serious game between two excellent sides assuming the Offaly men don't mess that up! hurlingdub (Dublin) - Posts: 6978 - 06/11/2011 18:08:04 1064131 Link 0 |
Thanks hurlingdub, assuming Oulart can beat Laois champions next Sunday, and Ballyboden beat Coolderry it could be a Wexford-Dublin final. Pinkie (Wexford) - Posts: 4100 - 06/11/2011 18:59:46 1064163 Link 0 |
Surely not! Know the man. Lives and breaths hurling. hurlingdub (Dublin) - Posts: 6978 - 06/11/2011 19:24:42 1064179 Link 0 |
Any ideas for next week?Id quite like to see Crossmaglen v Ballinderry followed by Ballyboden v Coolderry. (The football should be shown first.I find it hard to take sometimes after watching a hurling match.) TheRoad (Galway) - Posts: 1339 - 06/11/2011 19:58:50 1064219 Link 0 |

Rosfan I'm not saying they shouldn't show your game all I'm saying is that dublin county final should be on tv , I think most people in Ireland if there honest would have wanted to see it, come on the brogans jayo Barry cahill john o loughlin etc household names that everyone wants to see play. clondalkindub (Dublin) - Posts: 9926 - 06/11/2011 20:42:49 1064262 Link 0 |
next week its ballygunner v na piarsaigh in munster hurling and crossmaglen v ballinderry football deferred. No matter what games they show your always going to get someone complaining. Personally id prefer all hurling wherever possible no comparison. Football bores me to tears i find it pretty unwatchable at this level anyway I dont think its fit for live TV viewing. I do admit id like to have seen the dublin final today . then again it appears that that final was rubbish aswell. deisebhoy (Waterford) - Posts: 416 - 06/11/2011 21:26:46 1064293 Link 0 |

As you can see, from Waterford to Armagh and the four corners of the country, everyone has admitted they would like to have seen the Dublin finals!!.......these folks are the honest ones!!........the ones who said they wouldnt care about it are quite simply 'liars'!! We have little to be complaining about in this regard. TG4 have been brilliant with their GAA coverage, stuff that RTE would't even touch. keeper7 (Longford) - Posts: 4088 - 07/11/2011 14:43:01 1064555 Link 0 |
I was surprised that TG4 didn't show the Galway Club hurling final. That and the Dublin county final would have been better bets surely than the semi finals they did show. Barnowl94 (Galway) - Posts: 3150 - 07/11/2011 18:21:00 1064712 Link 0 |
Too right keeper7,we all associate the rte with the Sunday game but apart from that, their coverage of Irish games is pretty poor. Almost non existent actually. They do good work promoting the intercounty game with the likes of the sunday game etc, but the less glamourous (but often more exciting and competitive) club scene receives dedicated coverage from tg4. Me too stelkhi but above all a lad called pauric mahony for ballygunnner. a star in the making the limerick lads seem to be hyped up always mahony hasnt shown his true potential yet still only 18 and was nominated for young hurler of the year this year. keep an eye out for him. deisebhoy (Waterford) - Posts: 416 - 07/11/2011 18:46:50 1064730 Link 0 |

As far as I know TG4 show county finals up to the end of October and Provincial from there on. Might explain why they didn't show the Galway or Dublin finals this week or the Cross v St.Galls game the week before. I'd imagine TG4 would tend to lean towards games from counties where they have more viewership. It is understandable. legendzxix (Kerry) - Posts: 8971 - 08/11/2011 09:00:42 1064896 Link 0 |
