Dublin Final probably should take precedence over Connacht 1st Rnd.

Brigids (Ros) getting to the final last year probably had something to do with it but why not wait to show them in later rounds against Mayo or Galway Champs?!

Had bet on Stephens but fair play to Oulart. Serious side. Really good tough efficient hurlers. Actually not even in the style of traditonal Wexford teams. Must be odds on now to win it out and hope they do despite or even because of Boden still being there! Only joking. Can't wait to see them face off. Will be serious game between two excellent sides assuming the Offaly men don't mess that up!

For gigoer and pinkie, theres the future of Wexford hurling. Get oul Seamus Murphy from Rathnure to take over and you'll be back up there :-)

Thanks hurlingdub, assuming Oulart can beat Laois champions next Sunday, and Ballyboden beat Coolderry it could be a Wexford-Dublin final.
Also thanks for the offer of Seamus but think there are better candidates...

Surely not! Know the man. Lives and breaths hurling.

Any ideas for next week?Id quite like to see Crossmaglen v Ballinderry followed by Ballyboden v Coolderry. (The football should be shown first.I find it hard to take sometimes after watching a hurling match.)

1063177 Tg4 what a joke not showing the Dublin club final.

What a joke you should think just because you are from Dublin and they are AI champs they have a god given right to have every game shown on tv. The Dub championship is a joke how many imports do teams have. Theres a few Laois players and now Conor Mortimer is goin to play there as well. A provincial championship game containing one of the AI finalists St Brigids (all from Roscommon) should definetly take preference.

Rosfan,

Its for the good of the country!!

Nobody cares about a Ros V Sligo club game!!......but from Mizen to Malin the country wants to know whats happening in Dublin!!

I suppose you could call it the whole countrys "God given right"!!!

The St Brigids game was good as was the hurling, the Dublin county final i was told was not so good but im sure some of the people there will tell us how it was the greatest game of all time...

Rosfan I'm not saying they shouldn't show your game all I'm saying is that dublin county final should be on tv , I think most people in Ireland if there honest would have wanted to see it, come on the brogans jayo Barry cahill john o loughlin etc household names that everyone wants to see play.

next week its ballygunner v na piarsaigh in munster hurling and crossmaglen v ballinderry football deferred. No matter what games they show your always going to get someone complaining. Personally id prefer all hurling wherever possible no comparison. Football bores me to tears i find it pretty unwatchable at this level anyway I dont think its fit for live TV viewing. I do admit id like to have seen the dublin final today . then again it appears that that final was rubbish aswell.

As you can see, from Waterford to Armagh and the four corners of the country, everyone has admitted they would like to have seen the Dublin finals!!.......these folks are the honest ones!!........the ones who said they wouldnt care about it are quite simply 'liars'!!
Dublin is the hub of the GAA for both codes and the organisation revolves around its master!!......its natural.....dont fight it!!!

We have little to be complaining about in this regard. TG4 have been brilliant with their GAA coverage, stuff that RTE would't even touch.

I was surprised that TG4 didn't show the Galway Club hurling final. That and the Dublin county final would have been better bets surely than the semi finals they did show.

Too right keeper7,we all associate the rte with the Sunday game but apart from that, their coverage of Irish games is pretty poor. Almost non existent actually. They do good work promoting the intercounty game with the likes of the sunday game etc, but the less glamourous (but often more exciting and competitive) club scene receives dedicated coverage from tg4.

Me too stelkhi but above all a lad called pauric mahony for ballygunnner. a star in the making the limerick lads seem to be hyped up always mahony hasnt shown his true potential yet still only 18 and was nominated for young hurler of the year this year. keep an eye out for him.

Completely Disagree. I didnt want to see it I have seen enough of Dublin this year. Excellent county team and a well deserved AI. The fact is the Dublin Championship has become false due to the imported players. U see Crokes with Kavanagh, Brigids with O Loughlin from laois, I could go on. The great Na Fianna team with Kieran McGeeney. I am biased so I cant be objective but I would like to think a provincial game takes precedence over a County final even if its Dublin. If nothing else it gives teams like Tourlestrane the exposure they rarely ever get.

As far as I know TG4 show county finals up to the end of October and Provincial from there on. Might explain why they didn't show the Galway or Dublin finals this week or the Cross v St.Galls game the week before. Correct me if I'm wrong

I'd imagine TG4 would tend to lean towards games from counties where they have more viewership. It is understandable.
