The next game I play I'm gonna continually jab my marker in the jaw. Not too hard, just enough so that its a bit sore and annoying. I figure that if he hits me back he will get sent off and if he goes down holding his face he will get a red card too for being so unsporting. Either way its win win for me because no way should I get sent off for it

omaghredhand you deduce a lot of things, first of all the dublin posters are well able to look after themselves without my so called "immediate jump" to their defence,my opinion was an objective one and felt you were patronising in the extreme but by god, the nastiness and bitterness i can deduce from your reposte is seeping out through you. you considered not responding to my post but really couldnt help it . truelly pathetic . jack o connor wasnt far wrong about ye. looking forward to you not responding.

Just speakn the truth which is what posters from other counties on here seem to have a problem doin when it comes to Dublin....Connolly has an impeccable record on the field of play and if ye watch the video reply the facts are there to be seein..if that was Paul Galvin or the likes of the O'Ses Ive no doubt the decision would be overturned, if Connolly hit out a malicious tackle Id be first to admit it but its sooo obvious that it was far from that , I dont like any player being targeted or being accused in the wrong. Isent it some coincidence that hes our BEST player this year....

Yea I am a Dub, but saying the Dublin players ahve one set of rules etc is funny. Its the same rules for all playing fellas. If this was a cork player, Frank Murphy would be all over it. People are being side tracked by what the Donegal player(s) did before and after, personally I couldnt care. You fight your own corner for your own players! Did Connolly deserve to walk? YOU BET YOUR LIFE HE DID! But as with many GAA rules, the loopholes are there to be used, its up to the GAA to close them, they wont.

Just so were clear, I am a Dub and I AGREE Dermot deserved RED! But cos of a referee at the time not fulfilling his duties, he will get off.

Omaghredhand,

Its true, since 1986 we haven't been able to beat your lot. But then again, we haven't been able to beat Dublin since 2009, and we haven't been able to beat Offaly since 2002. In fact, there are 4 teams we have never managed to beat in the championship - Westmeath, Donegal, Kilkenny and New York.

"you haven't beaten our boys since 1986" - change the record man. Besides, truth be told quite a lot of counties, like Wexford in the 1910's, Cavan in the 40s and Offaly in the '80's have emerged and had a 'hoodoo' over Kerry. Look at Down for God's sake. Our real rivals are Cork and Dublin as they've managed to sustain it for more than a couple of years - often managing to be competitive 2 years in a row.

Its been a long time since I posted in this forum, got a bit fed up of the Mayo vs Dublin stuff... nice to see it hasn't gone away in the slightest.

Anyway, I reckon Diarmuid will get off on the basis that the referee did not see the incident and acted upon the incorrect instruction from the linesman who should have either instructed 3 yellows (two for Donegal and 1 for Connolly) or nothing at all.

As for the game, well I'm glad we won.

If Donegal want to park 14 behind the ball good luck to them on that, they will need to be fitter next year to keep that up.

What I do object to strongly are

1. Unsporting behaviour in not returning the ball after a free has been called
2. Unsporting behaviour in not retreating the required distance after a free has been awarded (the ref had to call Donegal back every time and they persistently refused to withdraw to the required distance ... ref should have booked them for that)
3. Unsporting behaviour in trying to get a player sent off when you are not hurt in the slightest

... very bad examples to be setting young players and for that alone I'm glad Dublin won through.

Really excited about the final.
Ath Cliath Abu.

@beacaire

Dublin did points 1 and 2 in the last 5 minutes when they were ahead. They also took almost 90 seconds to take a free kick in injury time. Don't be biased.

yes they put 14 behind the ball we played with 14 and still beat them i never seen such a poor team like them playing for frees and wasting time its worse than
cork but its a sad day in gaa when u see lads falling to the ground holding their heads and rolling around over a litle tap god bless the days wen u could push and shove and throw a dig and just get on with it when it was a mans game

@delboy You're lucky its not like that anymore or you would have only scored about 4 points

think it was 1 of those incidents where the ref was always going to be wrong.

send him off - its harsh, should have been yellow
yellow card - should have been red, it was a striking action.

ref couldn't be right here!!!!!

Yeah all the gamesmanship and time wasting that Donegal were at for 65 minutes came back to bite them in the bum in the end alright!!

Beacaire Gorm, you have put it in a nutshell, spot on.....really who from any country wants the "Donegals" of this world in the championship any year with such UNSPORTING behaviour.....not to mention their so-called style of play.....any more teams playn like them and we'd be left devoid of supporters....

unbeleivable dublin posters talking about unsporting behaviour ? take a look at your own team and those soccer followers in the hill and other areas of croke park on match days . come on kerry and do us all a favour and hammer the dirty dubs/jakeens .

Lads in fairness the game is well over now so look forward to the final. But before i go il just say that you cant lift your hand so the red should stand even though boyle made a meal out of it but dont say if it was the other way around the dublin player would not have lay down!!

And MOLLYMALONE : Dont even start on about UNSPORTING Behaviour! What about Dublin setting out and taking Lacey out of the game, if you did not do this you would not have win end off!!

Njoy the final....

hope connellys red card stands , he walked and a few others were losing their composure . PRESSURE does that to an overhyped team . kerry is the kingdom .
