Right, i reckon the starting 15 that will be named will be.

Healy
Best
Ross
O'Connell
O'Callaghahan
Heaslip
O'Brien
Ferris

Reddan
Sexton
D'Arcy
O'Driscoll
Bowe
Trimble
Kearney

Bench: Court Flannery Cullen Leamy Murray Earls O'Gara.

That's what i think Kidney will go with. I'd much prefer to see Flannery starting and Murphy in at fullback but i think Kidney has his favourites and they will get preference. And sure as long as we get the right result and get the World Cup off to a good start it doesn't matter who's playing....

Fla off the bench mightnt be the worst idea for this game, as its vital he is 100% for the game v australia as the o connell and flannery axis is vital for our lineout to do well as a good tactical game against australia giving the australian backs little space and time to run the ball back is vital if we are to win
Id like to see Donncha Ryan on the bench ahead of cullen as the lineout will not be in trouble this weekend and donncha offers so much more than leo in the loose
The backline will not have bowe at 13 with BOD at 12 and darcy on the wing
BOD will only not be in 13 jersey if he is not in the 22, the only game that will happen is the russian game

Sorry Ormond, i didn't think of the order i was writing the names down. D'Arcy and O'Driscoll in midfield and trimble and Bowe on the wings!!!

Although shoving D'Arcy to the wing might not be a bad idea. I might have stumbled onto something there!!! :-)

Its grand, i dont think darcy will ever be played on the wing, as we have 3 top class wingers in trimble, bowe and earls. Hed do a job there but id prefer him to be kept in the centre rather than earls be moved into 13.
Our centre options are
12. darcy 13. o driscoll
12. o driscoll 13. bowe
12. o driscoll 13. earls
12. darcy 13. earls
12. sexton 13. o driscoll
12. darcy 13. bowe
I would use in games v italy and australia options 1,5 or 6. earls should not be in the centre v australia, or any top team and if he is not going to be played there v any of the top teams why use him against the weaker teams. It would be better off to use people in the centre that we could use v top teams

Taking injuries and form into consideration, I think this will be the starting 15 for the USA game:

Court
Flannery
Ross
POC
DOC
Ferris
O'Brien
Heaslip
Reddan
ROG
Trimble
Wallace
O'Driscoll
Bowe
Murphy

You'll likely see Darcy, Kearney, Healy and Sexton getting at least 20 minutes of rugby, all going well. Sexton seems to respond well to adversity and Kidney will want him taking the game to the Aussies like he did to England and Northhampton earlier in the year. I don't think he'll risk Healy or Darcy until that first hard 30- 40 mins is over. And Murphy? .. just got a feeling. I'm pretty sure the rest of the team picks itself at this moment in time

Healy has been ruled out then. Not great news, and we're lucky it's the USA we have first up. No other injury problems as O'Brien, O'Driscoll and D'Arcy are available for selection.

Now it's just who Kidney chooses. Court or Buckley. Surely going on the amount of recent action he's had Court will have to start.

Ireland team named.

15 Geordan Murphy, 14 Tommy Bowe, 13 Brian O'Driscoll, 12 Gordon D'Arcy, 11 Keith Earls, 10 Jonathan Sexton, 9 Conor Murray, 8 Jamie Heaslip, 7 Shane Jennings, 6 Stephen Ferris, 5 Paul O'Connell, 4 Donncha O'Callaghan, 3 Mike Ross, 2 Rory Best, 1 Tom Court

Replacements: 16 Jerry Flannery, 17 Tony Buckley, 18 Donnacha Ryan, 19 Denis Leamy, 20 Eoin Reddan, 21 Ronan O'Gara, 22 Andrew Trimble

First off, thrilled that Geordan Murphy is starting. Obviously O'Brien is being held back for the Australia game so maybe a wise move starting Jennings. Now onto Connor Murray. What a whirlwing few months for the lad. And if he plays well 2moro he's in pole position to hold onto the Scrum half jersey. Suprised Trimble didn't start aswell. Was maybe the only form player from the Warm up games.....

Trimble played in all the warm up games so he more than likely is being rested as he will start the game against australia

Keith Earls? What have you to do to play yourself out of contention ? Be from the north? I hope this is the token start (like he got for the lions) and Trimble is starting aginst Australia.
Also very happy to see Murray starting too , perfect game for him . But I do hope all the biased tribes on this board do not base any real significance on this game .
