Brilliant win for Mayo today. Lets hope they keep their feet on the ground and beat Kerry too !! Cavan_Slasher (Cavan) - Posts: 10253 - 31/07/2011 20:28:27 1000136 Link 0 |
Well done to Mayo for doing what Down could not do. Cork appear to have the annihilation of Down last week to get to their heads. I'd love to see you beat Kerry in the semi to reach the final. Good luck. Well deserved. ajdoyle78 (Down) - Posts: 520 - 31/07/2011 20:30:57 1000139 Link 0 |
Very pleased with the win against Cork today. It was an interesting game in the sense that Mayo showed a tremendous toughness, both physically and mentally that I believe Cork didn't really expect and I think that threw Cork off their game. good win for mayo sure i never doubted them with two kerrymen playing in midfield how could they go wrong. very impresed with their workrate and they finally have a good team with no weekness all over the field. kerry have to be at their best to win.also it nice to play a team outside munster for a change and like i said two weeks ago tyrone and kerry again in september. chicago09 (Kerry) - Posts: 694 - 31/07/2011 21:33:40 1000258 Link 0 |

Well done Mayo, fantastic performance full of guts and nice football. What I admired most about their victory was not their style of football but the fact that the players purposely remained calm after the final whistle and didnt run around celebrating like they had won the all-ireland. Hopefully that's a sign that they know there are bigger tests ahead and they will put it up to Kerry in the semis. Goodfella, Tir (None) - Posts: 1652 - 01/08/2011 09:33:46 1000320 Link 0 |
Never in my life was i as proud to be a Mayo man as yesterday. Absolute class, guts and great football, what more can ya ask for. Mayo despite what people say have given some great memories down the years but this was the sweetest for me and most Mayo people. 51longago (Mayo) - Posts: 2981 - 01/08/2011 09:44:31 1000326 Link 0 |

Genuine congratulations to Mayo, absolutely no complaints, ye were fully deserving winners on the day. James Horan is one of the best young managers in the game and his team were a credit to their county. If we had to lose to anyone yesterday then I wouldn't look much further than Mayo, a fine footballing county and their supporters were extremely gracious in victory. Best of luck for the rest of the year. eviemonkey (Cork) - Posts: 308 - 01/08/2011 10:57:26 1000368 Link 0 |

didn't get to see the game yesterday, thought someone was on the wind up when they said Mayo won, fair play to ye, great performance by all accounts. WAs at the Londdon game and you would have got very long odds that day on Mayo reaching AI semi Rosineri1 (UK) - Posts: 2099 - 01/08/2011 11:24:25 1000392 Link 0 |
