Congratulations to Mayo! It wouldn't have bothered me if they won, but Cork didn't perform on the day.

Great win for Mayo. Did Connacht proud today. Proved once and for all the connacht championship is as good as any. First AI semi finalist in 5 years allied with 2 connacht teams in the AI minor semi finals. Great stuff!

Well done Mayo yous were brilliant today. Its good for football now that 3 of last years semi finalists are out. It shows just how competitive the game is these days. That any of 8 or 9 teams could go all the way given the right form.

Well done Mayo! Absolutely delighted for them! They played all the real football and took most of their chances well. It's always great to see the underdog win and Cork just really didn't show up. I think this puts a lot more worth in the provincial championships as we now have 3, and maybe 4, of the winners in the All Ireland semis.

Again, well done Mayo! Go out and hammer Kerry!

Wasn't it great to see a proper championship game at last. Mayo have plenty knockers but at least they always try and play football how it should be played. Mayo v Dublin on 06 was probably one of the best games ever played at croker because they both played good open football. When it comes to finals it's all in the mind.

But well done to Mayo today and to Donegal yesterday for upsetting the script and hard luck to the losers.

The way football should be played

It might be biased, but I feel Mayo today showed they play one of the best brands of football in the country. They kicked the ball with great accuracy, always had men on the shoulder, and hit them Cork lads hard in the tackle.

Looking at Donegal, Kildare, Cork and other counties that like stuff like the blanket defence and handpassing the ball all the way up the pitch, your heart would have to be lifted at how Mayo played with grit, determanation and great skill. Not many of the Mayo players would make the Cork team but they showed that pure heart is what counts in championship.

I've never been as proud to be a Mayo football fan.

I agree. Kicking the ball is how it should be done.
Mayo - Kerry should be a great game showing how football should be played.
Congratulations to Mayo!

I agree it was amazing .. Fantastic in every sense and well done

However , The way to play football doesnt wash with me, For me its win by any means possible. If it means playing like Mayo today or Donegal yesterday or a mix between the two , I couldnt care less once i see my team do the business.

Sport is a results game , Its results that win matches and you can have a stinker like Dublin in the leinster final and win the game , But it doesnt matter a jot once you win. And as i said , How you get that win doesnt matter. In my opinion.

The way football should be played

Mayo do play nice football and it's refreshing to watch them put out Cork who have been Ireland's greatest Rugby team for a few years now. Sadly Donegal are still there but Tyrone/Dublin will dispatch them with ease. However Mayo being Mayo will bottle it and once again Kerry will find themselves in an All-Ireland final through sheer luck. Guess The way football should be played it'll be up to Tyrone to put them in their place as per usual

Great win for Mayo against the best Rugby team in Ireland. However Mayo being Mayo will choke against Kerry who will once again find themselves in an All-Ireland final through sheer luck
