Were Derry in the championship the year?

Agree with Niamh, don't like booing of free takers but if your in the zone it shouldn't effect the outcome and it is a great way to silence the crowd if you keep sailing the points over.

I hate to hear the booing of other temas either coming onto the pitch or taking a free but all counties do it (the bigger the supoport the higher % of idiots booing) But the soccer type diving and feigning of injuries is the worst of all and should be punished, no county is innocent. monkey see monkey do.

niamh i have bit my tongue long enough because usually when you come on here its utter muck that you post and not many take you seriously. this has took the biscuit, what do you want us to do? cheer on the opposition with their free taking?! stick to ladies football if you require a less hostile atmosphere, if you could even call it that!

by the way samin, you's (armagh) are some bunch to be talking about discgraceful behaviour! 1stly applauding and cheering francie bellew for his challenge which led to owens injury then making jibes about heart attacks!!

2ndly after the final whistle around 30-40 armagh thugs in the far corner of the field jumping into, punching, kicking and banging the gates to intimidate stewards and garda into letting them onto the field. it was disgusting! especially for someone like me who was with a young family! it made the glasgow rangers fans look like saints! and then yous are complaining about a bit of booing. the absoloute cheek of you!

fermanagh fans are like any other group. there will always be a minority of clowns, but to create a thread about booing at a match....BOOING at a match!!?? laughable.
in terms of the game itself we deserved nothing. we were poor. but we are still a fine team and will show it agianst kildare.

No, we don't want you to cheer on the opposition when they are taking a free we just want you to quit booing and watch the free been taken and admire the skill of free taking regardless of who is taking it. I appluaded francie bellews tackle on owens and what is wrong with that? it was a brilliant tackle. As for your BOOING at a match, this is not part of our games or our culture again a fermanagh fan brings socker into the GAA equation. Go and watch socker and listen to booing if that's what you're into but do not bring it to our games and then complain when people complain about it! As for your assertion about the fans 'banging, thumping and kicking' you will find this is a massive exageration as I was right beside the fans who first got onto the pitch did not see any of this, maybe you were watching through the bottom of a bulmers cider bottle like the other 80% of fermanagh fans.

Not a Dublin man in sight at the Ulster Final yet we still get the blame.
Sure we probably burst a hole in a QUANTAS flight at the weekend too!

dont make me laugh!! the armagh buckfast parade were sober spectators alright! joker

i dont mind supporters aplauding francie, he's a good honest player in my opinion and he never meant any harm to owens, however jibes about diving and heart attacks were dispicable!

could someone please back me up about that section of armagh thusgs down at the corner of the pitch assaulting and abusing ground officials. sickening to witness with young children present, id rather they witnessed boos than that sort of behaviour!

also lad please learn how to spell. its SOCCER not socker. fool.

ps: i have a great deal of respect for the thousands of true armagh supporters. but its like ev1 says, there will always be that minority.
so dont dare tarnish the good name of the majority of fermanagh fans either please!

firstly people applauded and cheered francie for winning the ball fair and square against owens, it was an important ball to win because owens had lifted the loutish fermanagh support and had just set up a point. Absolutely everyone applauded owens when he was stretchered off, nobody likes to see anyone hurt.

Brother thadius, i hope you were not the fermanagh man sitting behind me with his two young children shouting obscenities at every armagh player, the referee, basically everyone who was not a fermanagh person. As i said earlier i posted months ago about the fermanagh supporters so it is not just after yesterday. You're supporters are a disgrace, you can justify it all you want, apparently the commentators on bbc commented on the disgracefull fermanagh fans. Because of you're fans i now hope you'se never win an ulster title.

P.s the celebratery bottle of buckfast went down a treat last night. ha ha

There is nothing wrong with a bit of booing.

Since you are being childish and correcting spelling mistakes try and correct your own first. It's DESPICABLE not dispicable. fool. It's IT'S not its. fool. It's DON'T not dont. fool. It's EVERYONE not ev1. fool. It's THUGS not thusgs. fool. Theres that many I can't go on.

PS: Nobody is backing you up because it didn't happen.
I'd say if Fermanagh won they wouldn't have invaded the pitch! Bunch of unpassionate sore losers. I hope Barry Owens is OK.

ah sure what odds is there in tryin to argue with you. orange tinted glasses lad. at least il acknowledge there prob were some idiot fermanagh supporters shouting silly abuse. but from my end it was those scenes from the armagh fans and there chants at barry owens which we all seen and heard. as i said before we know we deserve nothing from that display of football, but fact is, fermanagh are a better team than armagh, free taker or no free taker. armagh will be found out big style in the quarters. and before anyone comes back at that claim, im not sayin we will go much further either!

how long did it take you googling those spellings lad! i just pointed out soccer because its pretty basic stuff. quite like a bit of manners - IT'S also basic stuff, yet that section of armagh THUGS let the rest of you down badly.
also, i heard that it was pre planned that if fermanagh had won, officials were to let supporters on to the pitch. if armagh won then they would'nt be alowed on. hmmmmm wonder why that was. think the answer lies in the behaviour of them 'supporters' of yours lad!

I could have sworn i heard Armagh fans making noise for the fermanagh free takers where they not? Way on Niamh your Jealousy is nothing short of a joke. As for the Armagh fans on backing up this argument grow up yous were at it too, weve been down this road before lets not do it again, as for a Derry fan bringing it up im not suprised at all.

The words 'thugs' and 'it's' are pretty basic too. Nobody let us down yesterday, it is also interesting that it is a Derry girl who started this post so as a neutral she felt that it was Fermanagh supporters who were the ill-mannered fans. Your source of information is totally incorrect in relation to allowing supporters on to the pitch, at no stage were supporters to be allowed onto the field regardless of who won (I am a regular steward for the Ulster Council). When fans started to invade the field the Gardai and GAA implemented their PLAN B scenario as witnessed at the Leinster Final. You lost the match so get over it and stop trying to blame Armagh for your county's poor performance both on and off the field.

regardless of the booing during the match, wasnt everyone booing when the half time whistle went? why would that be? who can you balme for that?

I never realised that fans could be such bad losers - honestly some of the statements that some of the fermanagh fans are coming out with are ridiculous.

Armagh won - by a good margin in the end, get over it and start worrying about Kildare because you's really need to get someone who can score those vital points from frees etc, some of the point chances you's missed yesterday were awful and that alone is a reason why yous didn't deserve to win it!!

who's supporters did the commentators comment on? fermanaghs, they were a disgrace just like 2004. i can understand getting excited and carried away but the fermanagh fans go to far.

You'll find that the Armagh fans were not booing or whistling when the Fermanagh frees were being taken. One thing for sure there'd be no booing or whistling at an Antrim home game as there'd be no Antrim fans at it.
