Kilkenny are like Kerry. Allright when winning and very gracious but start beating them and the dirt comes out fairly quick

Pudders:

Every team has its cycles. This one is on the downward run but they owe us nothing.
Still believe they (4 in a row core players) have 1 or 2 more years in them and I don't think anyone who knows anything about hurling will be writing them off.... kilkenny will want to teach dublin a lesson after the hammering they got in the league final and if they meet tipp later in the championship the fact that they stopped their 5 in a row will be enough motivation may of those players.

KatS will have claws out this year and they showed against wexford their sharpening them up, they've a few more gears left in them.

KK are the fav's because they are simply one of the very best teams around. Even with Dublin missing the Na Fianna lads and the big KK players coming back, I still think this will be a very very close game. Much is made of history given the top hurling counties the edge but sometimes a team comes along and its time is to make its own history. Dublin will give them a run for their money and if KK play like did in the league final they'll get beat.

i dont want to get ahead of myself her but ti would be simply incredible to win leinster , an old cliche but everything after that would be a bonus if it were to happen , it would mean we would be probably be away from tipp and kk so maybe a semi with cork would be on the cards , that would be some game , anyway looking forward to sunday week , absolutely gutted i wont be here , anybody know any good links , used setanta last year to watch meath v dublin and it was awful

Haz, whatever happens Dublin will not 'bottle it.'! Not in their DNA my friend.

Cats will be out to beat the living daylights out of us. And sure that's the way you want it. Full on no holds barred hurling. No more patronising, 'ah sure they're nice handy hurlers.'

We might get beaten. We might even take a trimming. But by jaysus they will have to be on their best day ;-)

Kilkenny for me. Injuries will hamper the Dubs and Kilkeeny have been eyeing this one for a while. Looks like the GAA stand to make a nice bit of cash from this one

Pudders, forgive me for being provocative here but you say every team goes through cycles and that KK are are on a downward spiral - is that what you KK boys want the rest of us to thinkl? ;-)

I would say KK's dominance is not what it was alright, but I would say that's more to do with Tipp, Watrerford, Cork, Dublin raising their game than it is KK lowering theirs? And that again can be attributed to KK

Regarding a previous post, I would not be inclined to consider KK a dirty team, that said, they are not as disciplined as they once were, getting far too fond of throwing the hurl or getting into pucking off the ball - I think it's one of those things that they're so used to winning that they get frustrated when they're being run close but that's just a matter of opinion

And Thuresblues, don't be so thick posting 'we're always beating them' - 2010 was the first time Tipp have beaten KK in the championship since 1991 you knob, even we've beaten them 3 times since then...

Boland, Hiney and Brady gone for us.....think we cannot afford to lose half of our front line defense and come out on top.

We will give KK a run but will be tough.

Thas the head...heart says we are going to do the double :):):)

As a Wexford man, I sincerely hope you are right on the hurling and sincerely hope you are wrong on the football!

No Kilkenny will not play like they did in the league final that can be taken as for certain , but the thing is nobody knows where Kilkenny are really at
because the game against Wexford told us nothing other than Kilkenny having some of their big guns back. Kilkenny will go into the Leinster final as warm favourites on their record alone , they will have Henry Shefflin back but he has been out for a long time , can he get back to being the player he once was.
Will Tommy Walsh be fit enough to return , are the back line as tight as they once were , have they still got the same energy and will to win . Dublin for their
part have their own problems ,Stephen Hiney And Tomas Brady gone for the year with cruciate injury problems ,David Tracy back from a cruciate and gone again , Ryan Dwyer gone red card, Joe Boland out for the last three months dont know when he will be back, have Dublin a strong and experienced enough panel to overcome that.

Lots of questions clonjon and we only find out the answers on the day.

I honestly don't think we have seen how good this Dublin team is yet and despite the injuries, and the suspension, I beleive that there is sufficient depth and hunger within the panel to give it one almight lash on July 3.

Is fkn feidir linn ;-)

Dublin have the talent to beat Kilkenny no doubt about that, they've proved it already this season in the league, my only concern for them would be are they ready to beat Kilkenny when it really matters? In the last few season I would have said no but considering the way they have been preforming all year you'd nearly have to make them favourites for the final. So in a nutshell I think Dublin will win this game but it won't be anything like the league final.

Also I hope the Dubs get out and support their hurlers, I'd hate to see a measly 35 or 45 thousand at the final, there should be at least 60 thousand there if their fans are as genuine as some on here claim.
