No harm in hoping i suppose
Id put my house on tyrone going further in champ than down. Cause down are a one man show and havent got the same quality of squad of tyrone.
Do down have men like mulligan, hughes, carlin and the mcmahons waiting in the wings?

would be great to see consistency from the ref! a late tackle the same as clerkins was left unpunished when a tryone player done the same

Thats a bold statement!

Down have a very good squad, maybe not a great squad. We have Ambrose Rodgers to welcome back in the qualifiers, along with Damien Rafferty and Conor Garvey. Coulter and Maginn will be fully fit come the qualifiers as well, both weren't vs Armagh. The qualifiers are great for smoothing out the problems and areas your team is struggling with, and i truly believe with a bit of luck we will make it to the 4th round qualifier round, and at that stage momentum is key as shown last year with no provincial finalist loser making the Quarter Final. Its still all to play for!

Someone back there said they thought Donegal will beat Tyrone. I dont think Donegal will beat Cavan, basing things on the Antrim game!

TYRONELEGEND,

Out of interest, which player do you rate as being Downs 'one man show' ?

I still think Tyrone will win Ulster as I don't see any other team being overly impressive. Not that Tyrone were but I think they will just about make it based on experience. Would hope for Donegal to do well though as they look so much more exciting and that's with very negative tactics. Both Donegal and Tyrone are ultra defensive and rely on the counter but Tyrone do that way better so I expect them to win.
Won't be a nice game to watch though. I don't expect the Ulster winners to go and win the All Ireland this year though as I can't see any county in Ulster being good enough.
Pains me to say but I expect Cork to regain their title.

Maybe the fact that he had done it on numerous other occasions as well as a few wrestling holds on Sean Cavanagh was the problem. Clerkin spent his whole game holding and fouling Cavanagh. A pity because he can play when he wants to. I'm not sure late tackle by Tyrone you are referring to, but Clerkin's late tackle on Cassidy just before the goal was probably worthy of a red on its own.

And the Tyrone "veterans" did well today against Monaghan's second team, convincing winners.

And to think that both McMahons, Mugsy, McGinley and Hughes didn't start for Tyrone. Indeed we had a reserve team of veterans playing there yesterday. Lets be honest, Tyrone played in second gear throughout the second half. Monaghan got two lucky breaks in the penalties otherwise we would be sitting here talking about a 10 point walloping. As it is, we have plenty to work on and should have a full strength team to face Donegal (sorry Cavan) which we will need as McGuinness has turned this Donegal team around.

That's a joke, Derry v Armagh should be played at Casement Park or Healy Park in Omagh!

Great to see the games in Clones - was in Omagh yesterday - what a dump of a place and it takes hours and hours to get out of it.

Cavan need to be very wary of Tyrone they got through a tricky encounter with Monaghan but look a bit like their old selves and by the time of our meeting with them comes along they will be firing on all cylinders.

Be lucky to be 10,000 at the Derry-Armagh game. Derry haven't a huge GAA fan base as it is, never mind the fuel costs to get to and from clones (2 and a half hour journey each way if your from North Derry). And a lot more handy for the Armagh supporters. It certainly is a joke and should be changed to casement park!
