Well done armagh.Great game of ball saturday night. As i said in another post down would not find it easy coming away with a win from the athletics ground and it would be closely fought game when down drew level in second half honestly thought they would go on and win it but you,s showed heart and determination and came away with the win to set up an encounter with the derry lads which should be another interesting game... definitely the best game of the championship to date end to end action, forget which commentator said it but spot on when they said good oul fashion football no sitting back waiting for the ball or defensive play a joy to watch them lets hope there is more games to follow with the same intensity dubbydave. Congratulations to Armagh on beating Down on saturday, it was a very impressive performance, Clarke and Padden were excellent, and Armagh held Clarke and Coulter well. If Martin Clarke heads back to Australia, I fear the worst for Down! Looking forward to another Tyrone/ Armagh ulster final. TheGateKeeper (Tyrone) - Posts: 2843 - 30/05/2011 21:08:15 943946 Link 0 |
what a loss to football his departure will be , hopefully he'll be back in the future , armagh look odds on to reach the final now , i expect donegal to come through from the other side of the draw , armagh will face derry next both will feel its a game they can win , both deprived of top players such as clarke and bradley , last years game was a horror show worse then the antrim donegal game but i think this will be a cracker ! stekhli (Dublin) - Posts: 3121 - 30/05/2011 21:50:55 944022 Link 0 |
It still looks like one of the old firm Tyrone / Armagh will win Ulster for the 13th year in a row. Byanthon (Tyrone) - Posts: 1792 - 01/06/2011 20:46:11 945840 Link 0 |
I thought Down were a good bet and they fell so I'll go for Donegal now my names not Albatross for nothing. fortyfive (Tyrone) - Posts: 5929 - 01/06/2011 21:50:50 945893 Link 0 |
I reckon Tyrone should win comforatably today, but Healey park hasn't been good to us in the recent past. Mugsy to come off the bench and score a goal!! Tyrone358 (Tyrone) - Posts: 4 - 05/06/2011 08:19:41 947729 Link 0 |
To be honest I can't see anyone but Tyrone win Ulster again but they are far from impressive so far. Pretty poor standard in Ulster the last 2, 3 years. flemishgael (Kerry) - Posts: 67 - 05/06/2011 10:43:51 947756 Link 0 |
There may be a few surprises yet in Ulster. Tyrone under Mickey Harte may be heading the way of Mick O Dwyer in his latter years with Kerry.... blinded by loyalty to players who have served him well in the past. Yet Tyrone might still do well. Monaghan could be a lot better than many expect, now that they have a manager who is concentrating on playing football. I think Derry will improve as they are well managed this time. Armagh seem to have improved as do Donegal. Cavan too are probably stronger this year after the success of the Under 21s. Down seem to have gone well back. Fermanagh and Antrim as usual bringing up the rear. BIG SACKS (Tyrone) - Posts: 1681 - 05/06/2011 11:12:56 947776 Link 0 |
