This years championship is shaping up to be a real good one, with any county been able to win it so who's your money on people? mr_gaa1 (Fermanagh) - Posts: 242 - 13/05/2011 18:57:02 930288 Link 0 |
Will be competetive as always but the standard of Ulster football is pretty poor at the minute, as bad as I can remember. The heady days of Tyrone/Armagh and Derry/Down/Donegal seem far off distant memories. Leinster and Munster are well ahead at the minute. I hope the competitiveness is better in Ulster this year! 1998 since Armagh/Tyrone didn't win Ulster so would be nice to see a new winner. ispeakwisdom (Roscommon) - Posts: 2487 - 13/05/2011 19:21:03 930308 Link 0 |
Competitive as always? CastleBravo (Meath) - Posts: 1692 - 13/05/2011 19:23:07 930310 Link 0 |
10 years of Dominating Ulster I think Armagh and Tyrone need a fresh challenger Donegal have the handicap of playing a preliminary round, Antrim one hit wonders, and Monaghan still have the capability and quality to win in Ulster but I think Down will have learned a lot from last year and could take Ulster. fortyfive (Tyrone) - Posts: 5929 - 13/05/2011 19:32:35 930322 Link 0 |
You're not far wrong Ulsterman, theres no stand out team in Ulster at the moment, certainly one that could challenge for Sam although I live in hope. brendtheredhand (Tyrone) - Posts: 10897 - 13/05/2011 19:49:02 930332 Link 0 |
You're being a wee bit disrespectful there Fortyfive. Antrim , I think everyone accepts were massively handicapped by injuries this year. Anyway I think they will give a good account of themselves against Donegal. With a fit squad Antrim aren't that far off Armagh , Monaghan, Donegal and Derry. Maybe I'm being optimistic , but I suppose we will see over the next few years boy. gaelantrim (Antrim) - Posts: 1616 - 14/05/2011 19:24:44 930868 Link 0 |

No doubt Ulster is the most competitive championship, it may not be the best football but there aren't too many easy games cboyle92 (Down) - Posts: 184 - 15/05/2011 12:15:51 931066 Link 0 |
I think Tyrone will face Down in the Ulster final. Byanthon (Tyrone) - Posts: 1792 - 15/05/2011 12:34:56 931082 Link 0 |
Donegal to win it out i'd say!Hope im wrong and we pull out some magic and beat them when we meet! Can't see Antrim coping with their intensity today! beer baron (Cavan) - Posts: 3916 - 15/05/2011 12:48:26 931095 Link 0 |
Antrim always have a chance as they have the best free taker in ireland in their ranks in Paddy Cunningham! sashman (Kildare) - Posts: 465 - 15/05/2011 13:46:57 931132 Link 0 |
