It's become traditional sean og. On a more serious note I see the Orange Order is stirring up trouble around Drumcree again.

Drumcree is finished it has been for a number of years now. I live off the G Rd, on Drumcree Sunday morn there are only around 200 Orangemen on parade, even less supporters. There always an attempt at this time of year to try and up the ante but it's just a lot of hot air. Portadown has been quite quiet this last few years, like them or loathe them the creation of 3 new peace lines has extinguished most troubles.
It's unfortunately the people of Ardoyne who go through this process now.

Now Taffin don't start us on Leitrim, didn't Christy Moore sing a song about you crowd being a 'funny' lot?

Last night I had a pleasant dream I woke up with a smile
I dreamt that I was back again in dear old Erin's Isle
I thought I saw Lough Allen's banks in the valleys' down below
it was my lovely Leitrim where the Shannon water's flow

I stood enchanted at the scene of grandeur and of light
the next I left for Carrick town before the dark of night
I passed Sheemore that fairy hill where flowers wildly grow
and I passed the grave of Finn McCool where the Shannon water's flow

The next I saw was Fenagh Town with her ancient abbey walls
the preaching of her holy monks re-echoes through her halls
I stood with reverence on the spot reluctant for to go
from the town of saints and sages where the Shannon water's flow

I've travelled far from this great land from the east and to the west
but of all the islands I have seen I love my own the best
and if ever I return again there's one place I will go
it will be my lovely Leitrim where the Shannon water's flow

Independent?? Ha ha that's a laugh. Europe's multi billion Euro bail out, Britain's 8 Billion pound loan, in debt and bankrupt for the next 100 years and owned by thr bondholders and venture capitalists. Scorned and treated with contempt by France and Germany who made the Irish public pay for THEIR bank debt. If that's independence friend you are welcome to it. Don't worry though it'll be different when the Ulstermen take over the running of the country, we'll show you how it's done!

We have out tactics worked out if you invade; throw a few brown envelopes on the roads and that will confuse you OR we'll carry an empty coffin and you will be compelled to attend a funeral of someone you don't know "cos eets de dun ting".

ulsterman you remind me of the gift grub sketch on arsene wegner after arsenal got knocked out of the the champions league and him going on about still winning it, we need people like you aroiund here to laugh at, your great great great great grandchildren will be saying 'any day now' regarding a united ireland, and they will get the same response- there are step you must follow and one group in the north refuses point blank to change yet expects everyone else to change and the other group is happy with the status quo. but whenever the ureka moment comes for republicans its going to come as a bit of a shock as everything ye have said for years is absolutely wrong and its all your own fault- that is why we laugh at these petty notions of victimhood as will our great great great great grandchildren

So you'll show us how to get England to pay a few billion every year to prop up a stagnant economy where the only jobs are the British public service?

911327 Relax, this isn't another yawn-fest bound to descend into the usual North/South/Brits Out quagmire that most other threads seem to. At least I hope it doesn't anyway.

Lockjaw's dream is over!!!!

I don't think any of us thought that Ulsterman would be involved in dragging it into the usual partitionist rantings!!
