KILKENNY... Trust me, best spot ever for a stag, get a mini bus and have a booze cruise there stopping at every pub along the way for a pint, have cans on the bus, turn up in Kilkenny smeary and go out.... i did this and had an unreal night, some spot miketyson (Limerick) - Posts: 2748 - 05/04/2011 15:34:21 904111 Link 0 |
Been at quite a few stags over the last couple of years. Most memorable have been Galway and Derry. Galway is always a dead cert, great craic and always booming. Derry some spot too - and the bonus being that it's a lot cheaper than in the south. Great clubs and pubs and unreal weeeman. Brolly (Monaghan) - Posts: 4472 - 05/04/2011 15:40:26 904124 Link 0 |

I know you said somewhere in Ireland but if ya do decide on somewhere outside the country I'd suggest Newcastle. I was just there at the weekend - mental! Everything is so central. There's this place called The Gate which basically looks like a shopping centre from the outside but when ya get in it's all bars and clubs! Then you also have the Bigg Market and Quayside aswell. True Patrique but where would he get the 30/40 years of tales and "d'ye remember thon weekend in X/Y/Z?" I spent the mates stag night in DaisyHill hospital after the eejit when skinny dipping in Warrenpoint. He didn't get near the water as he slipped on a cement path and ripped his foot from heel to toe. He went up the aisle on crutches and his wife wouldn't speak to me and his brother for quite a while......but it provides a good oul yarn. Rathangan in Co Kildare is a great spot for a session, every day there is people in the pubs, small town with 7 pubs and music provided in each of them, Bridge Bar and Corner bar are great pubs for the Horse racing and The Village pump and The Burrow are the Music pubs.
