listen nobody is after destruction , my opinion is based on events and the current tide of demands that seem unreasonble and unfair to other faiths .

Well you actually did suggest anhillation, but I assume out of this context. The fundamentalists are also into destruction, but it is politics using the religion of poor and misguided people to wage war. Geroge bush et al use God and J.C. as call to arms a lot. The Saudi royals are supposedly muslim, bin laden is a product of this regime, but behind the scenes their lifestyle is antyhing but. There is zero democracy there yet the USA and the west in general prop them up, if and when the population see beyond that and rise up, the US will immeaditly drop them and espouse democracy as they have done with egypt once it is on their terms of course. Whatever the US and the allies are in Afghanistan for it is certainly not to get Bin Laden or promote democracy, Obama could do more for democracy by making a few calls from the Office.

I am thinking here about the Shankhill butchers.

These brave men defended Christianity against the heretics from Rome., sacrificed all against the heathen hoards who sought to change western civilisation as we know it.

Surely the time has come to honour these defenders of the faith, with shrines and memorials in Kilkenny, Tyrone, and maybe Mayo?

They will never be forgotten.

Thanks for your answers. This guy also went on to say that The two most common names in Ireland were Mary and Michael which have their roots in Hebrew. He said that the Irish were using forms of these names prior to Irelands conversion by St. Partrick. Does this have any possible truth in it. This man was no fool and seemed to be genuinely motivated in that he was extremely well educated. Unfortunately at that time I was very young and did not follow up on this conversation with him.
