From your garbled rant of a response I note that you're not able to refute one point made.

I'll spell it out for you, what exactly should this individual sue the media for?

They reported that he's been found guilty of other offenses - he pleaded guilty to charges of burglery, so there's nothing untrue about this. He hasn't changed these pleas, and isn't contesting the burglery charges.

They've reported testimony from the case, they reported what he was charged with, and they've reproted details of the evidence presented. All factual reporting of items which are available and documented in the public record. Again, nothing illegal about this.

Finally, when the incident occurred the media reported the facts, they reported that a Garda had been seriously injured, and subsequently died after being hit by a car whilst attempting to stop a suspected robbery. No media outlet claimed that the young man was trying to rob the car until he pleaded guilty.
When charges were brought, it was reported that he had been charged with the crimes, not that he had committed them. Again, reporting of facts from the public record. Nothing that can be sued for there.

See please, enlighten us all as to what was reported that could be considered libelous against this young man.

PS, purely out of professional interest, what type of helicopter do you have?

Jamie McGrenaghan (19) had admitted dangerous driving causing the death of garda Robbie McCallion in Letterkenny on March 26, 2009.

The court had earlier heard that McGrenaghan went with another man, Cathal Dunleavy, to steal a car at Tara Court in Letterkenny. Gardai tried to block the men's escape route by putting their patrol car across the road but McGrenaghan reversed his car 100 yards before accelerating at the officers and sending garda McCallion 15ft into the air

He sentenced McCallion to seven years for dangerous driving causing death and suspended the last year of the sentence. He also jailed him for three years for stealing a car, five years for recklessly endangering two other gardai when he drove at them, and three years for each of eight burglary and criminal damage charges

It would appear then that this lad pleaded guilty to stealin a car and driving dangerously, hence making him a joyrider. Are you still of the opinion that he should sue for misrepresentation ballbag

Would you ever go and get an education ?

He pleaded guilty to dangerous driving causing death so he did it. He is not completely innocent of the killing.
